Light Machine Guns

Up to this point I've spent very little time using the Light Machine Guns. I've seen a lot of people that use the Aug, but I've found my favorite to be the RPD. Decent iron sight and burst firing it I've been able to get some nice long distance kills. Haven't unlocked the silencer yet but I'm curious if it minimizes the recoil of the gun at all.

Which LMG do you guys prefer?

I have only used the Aug so far but it is really nice with the bar, no recoil at all, high bullet damage and a nice size clip.

Ill have to try that out with the iron sites, having the bar and silencer would be nice.

i like the AUG. especially with the fast reload. i have yet to try the m240 out online, but it is nice in Spec Ops. been meaning to give it some burn online.

havent gotten around to any LMG's since prestiging.

RPD is one of my favorites.. the Grip reduces recoil. it's practically necessary.

otherwise, it's loud and obnoxious and gets mad kills. :D

The Aug is also the only LMG I've used.

Stat wise, the best LMG is the first one (can't remember the name). It's not too bad with grip, but the recoil is pretty bad without it. Haven't experimented too much with it though, I plan to once I get bored.

I used to run the Aug Bar with front grip...Loved it...I like that you can rack up 3 or 4 kills without needing to reload...and I was able to get many longshots that I didn't think I'd be able to get with that gun.

i like the aug with grip, and sometimes silencer as well. the only thing i dislike about LMGs is how long they take to bring up the site without using the SOH perk.... makes using bling a real trade off.

I still think it has to much recoil even with the grip. Does the silencer reduce it anyone know? I did decent with it, but I too don't like how long it takes to raise the sights.

SOH with AUG is a must, even with the silencer there's still a little recoil. AM retarded though when it comes to accuracy. When I shoot it's like when you take a piss and you get two streams going.

Agree with most on the thread is the AUG as my favorite. It was also the first gun I mastered on the game.

I exclusively used the RPD in COD Modern Warfare. I put the grip on it and that thing was unreal. Great distance and accuracy with low recoil. Its a good gun MOFO.

Was searching through old posts saw this one. I have been using the MG4 lately with grip and red dot. Definitely got some range and I like it better than the AUG actually.

I'm on the mg4 with silencer and grip I think it almost eliminates all the recoil and the gun is powerful. First lmg I mastered. Only problem is the reload but if ur good with aim u should can rack up ur killstreak before reload

Doesn't the silenced MG4 still show up on UAV? I'm pretty sure it's glitched, along with the silenced m9.

Nah M21 EBR isn't glitched. It'll stay off the UAV.

Why use a silencer on the EBR? That guy is already not a one hit kill most of the time, I would hate to think how it would be if you make it weaker with the silencer.

Silencer doesn't reduce damage, it reduces range. So what you said will only apply for a long range snipe/shot. If I'm thinking straight.

Yeah that's right, I forgot guns just seem weaker with the silencer after you don't use silenced weapons for a while.

The mg4 might still show up bit I dnt use it to stay hidden I use it to reduce the recoil. I got a hundred bullets so they can come find me if they want. And d reason for silenced ebr is to master or get thermal which is what ill have to do sometime

Also it's a sniper rifle lol...... If your sniping in a good sniper spot the last thing you want them to know is where you are or they just gonna come back and kill you.

They'll come back and kill you from the kill cam regardless of silenced or not. Only thing to take away that element is if you play hardcore.
