I think its rather hard to do because the flat zone done by any player other than the CB will not go towards the sideline. In most cases I would user someone in coverage to stop the RB if hes going to the flats on the wide side. If its the short side of the field pressure and someone in a contain on that side would disrupt the play.

Is it the flats youre having trouble with or the whole field?

Spotlight him.

Would spotlighting stretch the flat zone in a cover 3 zone?

Spotlight him.

Thats right. If you see them doing the quick throw to RB's I throw a OLB or Lineman in contain onthe side he is throwing it to and also spot light him.

I got acouple picks from a person in a contain because they guy would just hike and throw pretty much.

I played someone last night that loved to quick pass out of big formations. He's on like a 14 play drive on my 3 and instead of trying to pound it in he was quick passing. I put Osi and Tuck on contains and lone and behold I get a pick with my DE.
