Seems like France have the edge. We'll see what happens.
I've missed the first half, ironically been playing american football!
Now for dinner and football. Excellent.

Uruguay has been playing some terrific tactics. They defend with 7 when France are in possession. Actually, they practically defend with 9. When they do get the ball, they get Forlan to hold the ball up, redistribute on the flanks, then either Forlan or Suarez have this awesome ability to weave their ways through the defense. They got off some really good chances.
France had a few decent chances through Ribery and Anelka, and Diaby too. But it just feels like Uruguay's defense is in Inter Milan lock down mode. I'll be very surprised if we see France score.

Forlan's movement on offense has been awesome to watch. don't get to watch too much of him at atletico, but he's really really good.

What you have all just witnessed in Uruguay 0 - France 0, is what we call in South America: "garra charrua". Charrua is a nickname for Uruguayans.. and the phrase basically means how they scratch and claw their way to a result.
I have to say I love it when the french are frustrated. :D Group A is still now wide open. Will be really interesting to see how the rest of the matchups play out... TBD
