absolutely pathetic display from spain. in the first half they showed about 5 minutes of urgency.

in the 2nd they got surprised to let in a sloppy goal, and then still had no answers. they were very erratic on their finishes. very skittish.

typical Spain. now their final group game, against Chile on June 26th, will be insanely important. In the history of World Cups, only Germany, Argentina and Italy have been able to reach the final after losing their first game. None have won the whole thing...


Now, Maicon, brasil's right back who scored their first goal inside the goalkeeper, had EXACTLY the same goal against portugal two years ago:

Wow. I thought Maicon was crossing the ball. My boys said otherwise and you proved me wrong. His WC goal was at a rougher angle.

And Spain plays so pretty in the middle portion of the field but in the attacking 1/3, they are so bad ...

And bad red card on South African GK ... that was rough.
