All state and local gun bans and restrictions are now out the window as of 10am EST this morning. I need to search ebay for sales on bazookas and rocket launchers :)

Yea, everyone is aware of gun crime being all over, that's a given. The Supreme Court decision came as a result of the Chicago gun ban law being brought to their bench. That ban was a imposed because of its inner-city gun crime.

there was a time when i was anti-gun. But deeper thought brought on a change of heart (not a waffle or a flip flop cuz that's when people say one thing and then say another without really either being heartfelt).

I guess the constitution didn't work in Chicago until now. The criminals all walking around with guns and the victims thinking why have a gun law. I guess the first gun shop that goes up will make some big cash now.

The decision says the constitution allows "ALL Citizens" to gun rights so that means even felons?

I would imagine they mean it in the same sense that we all have a right to many things until we do something to have them revoked.

Yeah, you still need an FID card. But some cities like NY and Chicago have guns bans that prevent any guns to travel through the city more or less. This just says they can't do that.

If it's privately owned property no. No other places will be affected other than the towns in Chicago that just introduced the ban.

NYC also had a gun ban. Ask Plexico Burris about it :)

Yeah...that's what gun ownership is about. Tell the Founding Fathers how dumb they were for realizing how important it is for the populace to have gun rights.

Even though I have to agree with Res on the gun thing you are right that the Founders were not infallible.

yeah...cause most of the Founders were advocating slave ownership. Fact is, most all of them knew it was wrong, and wrote the Constitution in such a way as to lead to the abolition of slavery. Now, we can discuss all day the faults of the ones who owned slaves, while preaching that all men were equal (Jefferson, etc), but it doesn't change the fact that they laid the foundation for freeing the slaves.

I truly have no earthly idea what you are talking about. What I do know is that there is this in the Constitution-
a clause that counted a slave as three fifths of a man for purposes of congressional representation.
With that clause as a foundation I know of nothing the founders did that would lead to the abolition of slavery.
