Palantonio Reports: "Well, its pretty cloudy in Philadelphia, as the Eagles have stumbled out of the gates to fall to 0-3. If the Phillies were not in the postseason, this town would be in a riot frenzy...something has got to give, these birds need to get a W. In our Sunday Conversation, here is an exclusive interview with Andy Reid:"
Palantonio: "Coach, first lets talk about your most recent loss. You guys went into Jacksonville and pretty much got run all over. Your guys just looked defeated after the game - your thoughts?"
Reid: "Well Sal, let me start with the positives. There were none. Now to the negatives, we just aren't playing smart. This game in particular, there were two things that stuck out to me. The fumble to start the second half on the kickoff return killed us and led to a quick 7 points for them. The rain was definitely a factor, but the more troubling thing that I found was our D could not get off the field. We are looking into some new philosophies for this weeks matchup against the Skins. Just to give up a TD with 4 seconds left that led to the loss, and not to really get that many turnovers, its just another one of those weeks - but basically, Shonn Greene ran through our D. We knew what they wanted to do, but we just couldn't stop them. We will fix it. I also just want to say, Coach Bukamania is a great coach and he definitely deserved to win this one, I am not trying to take anything away from what he did. Good job coach."
Palantonio: "Coach, the fans want to know - when will you get a win?"
Reid: "Well I mean, is it depressing being 0-3? Absolutely. Do I scream myself to sleep every night? Absolutely. I don't know when, but we are going to get a win real soon. The good thing is, we still have all of our divisional games coming up so we are still Ok.We just got to have some luck come our way and we have to stick to our gameplan and stay focused for 60 minutes."
Palantonio: "Coach, Desean Jackson was seen screaming on the sidelines and shaking his head in disbelief that he was not more involved in the game. Are you going to address that?"
Reid: "Well Desean is a heck of a player, and he is ticked off that he has not been more involved in the offense this season. He's had one good game, but he has to get rollin and thats on me - there's a reason we took him with our number one pick, he is the fastest dude in the league. We got some great plays for him this weekend and we will get him the ball because he is such a playmaker. Stay tuned. But other guys have got to step up. Michael had a good game last week as far as not throwing INTs, but we've got to work on the fumbles this week in practice."
