Instant Pressure

Can someone tell me a few defenses and their pre snap adjustments that get pressure on the quarterback instantly?.......Thanks and GBR

Middle Blitz (4-2-5)


If they snap it under center they are $#%^ed


for the 4-2-5 manually shift ur two linebackers to the middle and make sure they stay there.

I know it well :rolleyes: The easiest defense to get instant pressure... Just move the safety over the center.... That's it.... U don't have to move anyone else. Call bump and run, and they r in real trouble. Also u can do the same thing with the 4-4 robber... the zone, and the man version.. They can b real killers.

But the only thing with the Nickle is that it is beatable. That is y I stopped using it. I started to beat it on a regular basis.... Here's How...

1) Send ur #2 outside receiver on a streak.. I normally put the faster receiver at #2. Send ur #4 receiver on a streak, and send him in motion. When he is at the A gap on the left side of the formation, hike the ball. The Thunder Green is now a serious liability. Especially if u call bump and run.

2) If ur Qb has at least 74+ spd. U can definitely run around it....

3) HB direct destroys this ply... U have it in man coverage. That is a very risky ply to run against a seasoned plyer...

Awn, if you put the safety over center in the Mad Robber the same thing happens like nickel thunder green? I usually spread my linebackers and line out, or spread the linebackers and always speed rushing a off the edge with my linebackers.

U get a lot of pressure as it is. But it should works basically with any formation that blitz linebackers thru the A gaps... :D

You are right Awn, example 4-3 thunder green, spread the dline and put the MLB over center, same thing as nickel thunder green and 4-4 mad robber.

the 4-3 cover 2 with both OLBs blitzing with out manshift. just move them a tad close to the line and make their blitz schemes straight up and down strait lines
