Defense help for a Newb

I just got Madden 2005 for Xmas. I've never really gotten into Madden before so I am a newb. Lions are my team so I only play with them. I do pretty well with the Lions offense but I am clueless on D. What formations do you recommend for them and what player should I be controlling- Rogers, Bailey, a Bly? I can't seem to stop the computer from scoring on me. Please help!

Before anyone comes after you with a smart a** comment I'm going to suggest you try the Madden 2005 forums first. This one is for NCAA 2005 (college) ;)
