A lot of college teams will script plays usually for the first few series of both halves. This would be a godsend to have a set series of plays that you could call up without having to toggle through the playbook for every play. You can waste a lot of time going through the plays, time that you could be using to set your play up -- is the defense in man, zone, etc... Also it would be handy to have a set of plays at the ready to run a 2 minute offense.

one key feature that ncaa blew madden up on was the ability to call an audible on the fly at the play screen
i love that feature, but it really favors the home team. i like to call a run play out of flexbone and have angles as an audible. if the run is there, i'll run, if not i'll pass. run hurry up offense and see which one he wants to stop and then hit him with the opposite. works well

Awwwww Helllllllllllllllllll yeah!!!!!! I loved that option. I would set up my friends by making them think I was looking for a certain play, but all the while I was secretly picking audibles. I would come to the line and do just like djwill said, see what he was trying to stop, willing to give up short, middle, deep, see if he was playing the run or pass. If my friends were looking for this I gave them that, if they were looking for the run, I would fake an audible and make them out think themselves. The ability to change audibles on the fly is something that Madden could have really used that to it's advantage. Should EA tone down or fix HFA, I see no reason why putting the quick audible feature back in wouldn't be a bad idea.
