I want Ea to add point spreads into NCAA 2006, there would be a very different formula for determining Dynasty spreads compared to On-line point spreads

Dynasty
All games during a particular week would have parentheses around the underdog team (+) or (Pick) if no favorite. Point spreads for a game would be determined by using the Overall grade of a team, as well as the Offense, Defense, Sp. Teams grades, and location of the game. I believe this would enable EA to come up with correct default AI sliders. For example, my team is favored by 7 at home, but I win the game by a score of 49-10. The AI could be adjusted to get closer to the point spread.

On-Line
I have never played on-line so I don't know the way it works, but I have come up with a method none the less. The point spread for a particular game between 2 players would be based on a players rank, team used, and average pts. scored for and against. Let's say your on-line and are looking for a challenging game so you look for a player who would be favored by say 10 or 14 pts. This would allow for more competitive match-ups, I think.
I don't really know what criteria would best be used to get accurate point spreads for on-line, do any of you on-line players have any ideas?

not so sure i agree with the point spread idea. that's what's wrong with college football now. the people that vote in the bcs don't watch all the teams play. thus, they look at the end of game stats and not the game itself. if an unranked team plays a good team well 18-24 win (by the ranked team) then the ranked team drops in ranking. doesn't matter that both the starting qb, back up qb, and starting hb all got hurt and they played with freshmen.

not so sure i agree with it online either. people already run up the score as is. guy was beating me 33-14 with under a minute left and i had no time outs. he comes out in hail mary. why??? just down the ball and show class

that's just my opinion though

A little girl... LOL... There have been times that I was winning. Called a time out, and kicked a field goal with 2 seconds left. They were hot...!!!! It really depends on the game. If it is a close game, I may kick a field goal if I am already up... It is a psychological thing to do... Get into their heads. I am busting a gut reading the post of some of these guys. Looking for a rematch..... I told them I love to kick dirt in my opponent and run like a little girl.... LOL....

You won't see point spreads, period. Too related to gambling and the NCAA is majorly negatory on that.

You might get the +- favorite thing, but I dunno.

Cuz it aint gonna happen. Like one poster said earlier, it's too closely related to gambling and the NCAA already takes a High moral ( aledegedly  ) stance against betting on their games.

Now I can see EA maybe doing someting like this:

You're at the screen where all the weeks games are listed, you take #2 Auburn against say # 9 LSU. You hit the select button and you'll get "Corso's Thoughts" where Lee gives you what he thinks will be the things to look for in that particular game and whom he thinks will win.

Just my .02 on the matter
