I want Ea to add point spreads into NCAA 2006, there would be a very different formula for determining Dynasty spreads compared to On-line point spreads
Dynasty
All games during a particular week would have parentheses around the underdog team (+) or (Pick) if no favorite. Point spreads for a game would be determined by using the Overall grade of a team, as well as the Offense, Defense, Sp. Teams grades, and location of the game. I believe this would enable EA to come up with correct default AI sliders. For example, my team is favored by 7 at home, but I win the game by a score of 49-10. The AI could be adjusted to get closer to the point spread.
On-Line
I have never played on-line so I don't know the way it works, but I have come up with a method none the less. The point spread for a particular game between 2 players would be based on a players rank, team used, and average pts. scored for and against. Let's say your on-line and are looking for a challenging game so you look for a player who would be favored by say 10 or 14 pts. This would allow for more competitive match-ups, I think.
I don't really know what criteria would best be used to get accurate point spreads for on-line, do any of you on-line players have any ideas?
