How to beat the Blitz out of SG

Well I've jus played a guy his name was Miami 5x. he's ranked about 1000. Well he was Miami i was Ohiop state. I was away. I tried to throw, but he'd blitz and by the beggining of 3rd quarter he's up 20-0. I start to pound the ball a little bit. Get a TD. 20-7 him. He gets the ball 3 and out. I get the ball, run out of Ace Slot, the hit up Holmes for a long TD. 20-14. He has a 3rd and 5 drops back, pressure gets there, INT returned to the 5. I score 2 plays later. 21-20 me. He get the ball, I pick it at about his 40. I run the ball 3 times, last play, I am dropped for a loss of about 3. Nuge kicks a 51 yarder. 24-20 me. Then he does a rather chip trick. He lines im in Ace Twins. I double team the inside guy (Parrish #1.) He sees that and motion his to the left, to get him into single coverage. Boom a 40 yard pass. So he's at my 7. with no TO's abd about 50 seconds left. He runs the ball twice and scored a TD. 27-24 him. I put in Teddy Ginn as my 4th WR. 15 seconds left, I'm at my own 20. I complete 1 to Holmes to the midfield. 9 Ticks Left. I thorw 1 deep to Ginn, took control of him (it looked like it was about to be picked). Ginn Drops oit at the 1. Last play, Hail Mary incomplete.

Well anyways, my question is this, How do I beat the blitz that he harassed me with the whole 1st half? He susually did it out of 3-4 or 4-3, i think plays like Fire, Fire green, Fire 2, Thunder Green, Thunder 2 and so on. Runjing didn't work, throwing didn't either. QI'm sure there are ways to beat it, I jus can't figure out how. Any ideas fellas?

If they are blitzing every down I exploit them with the run. If they are using Dime corner blitzes, 4-4, or any outside blitzes I use the I form. Mostly everything else I use the two tight Ace formation. If Im stuck way down I mix up the run and try to use slant routes towards the middle or throw to the tight end or slot reciever with bullet passes.

a little trick i've learned

when your opponent blitzes using thunder green and your in shotgun, it's normally 6 pass rushers versus 5 blockers. hot route your back to block and that will free you up to bass out of shotgun formations.

another trick........the handy dandy clearout all (try it on 2nd down when the crowd isn't so loud) out of shottybunch. lob it up to "X" and user catch it. if he's blitzing, 7 times out of 10 he's in man coverage

another trick.........if he's blitzing you like that and you notice he's in man, come out in iform or anyother strong running formation and pick a pass play. hot route your hb to do a streak and motion him out wide. you'll be one on one with a safety. go up and get it

Shotgun was the focal point, so I will stay on that.... I eat up most blitz with that ply. I do a type of analog burst with my back. If u can believe that. What I do is that I am pressing on my analog stick in a particular direction b4 the snap... What I may do is Speed burst, or allow for crusing speed. Alot depends on if he is blitzing with the particular defender. It is like a cat and mouse game. If he has good stick control, then it will b a real challenge. But if he is like a lot of people, I will run right by him for some good yardage.

The only thing that really screws up my running the hb direct, is the high snap. I lost a game, bcuase the cpu called a high snap and I was tackled for a lost. Mess my whole approach up for that game tying drive.... Did I tell everyone that I hate the cpu!!!!
