Not sure where else to post this.
Anyone got any recommendations for football strategy books or websites. Not looking for anything Madden related, but rather insight into basic football strategy and such. I went to Amazon and did a search but wanted to see if anybody had some strong opinions on useful texts.
Thanks in advance!

I dont have the greates stick but I love X's and O's
The books I have are
Offense:
Coaching the West Coast QB: Helps with understanding coverages and different philosophies (A+)
Complete Quaterbacking - more on the mechanics of being a QB. Some of it can be applied to Madden (B-)
The Bunch Attack- one of my favorites. Its all about buch formation and not just the obvious trips bunch. It has a lot of the concepts of the compression offense (A+)
Joe Montanas the Art of Quarterbacking - Wasnt really informative. Kind of like a biography with a few helpful hints on reading coverages. Most of it you probably have seen on this board. (C)
Footballs Quick Passing Game Volume 1-3 by Coverdale and Robinson. This is good b/c it talks about 3 step drop formation and hitting the uncovered receivers. This is also something Big B talked about in his compression book. (A)
Coaching the Multiple West Coast Offense by Ron Jenkins. You can read a version of this on line. Just do a search of the WCO and you should find the link. He talks about the 9 zone reads like slant / flat read, flat / post read...etc. ( A)
Coaching Football by Flores, O'Connor. Has basic philosophy vertical, horizontal attack (B).
Offensive Football Strategies by AFCA. Great book on schemes and philosyphies. (A+)
Defensive
101 and Fire zone blitzs by Hand. This has got to be my favorite. It list how to set up zone blitzes for 3-4, 4-4 4-3 and 4-6. I have set up many of these just using the defensive hot route features. (A+++)
Footballs New Combination 60 Defense by Kenig. Describes 6 linemen like in the 4-6 bear and how to use line stunts. (B+)
Coaching the Multiple 4-3 by Harris. Info on 4-3 defense (B)
Coaching the 4-6 by Ryan and Walker. 4-6 philosophy (B)
Coaching the Nickle and Dime Defense by Rice . (B)
Defensive Football Strategies by AFCA. Offensive schemes and front and philosophy from numerous coaches. (A)
Most of these I bought on line just go to Barnes and Nobel or Books a Million and you will find more than enough. I think if people really understood football there would be less talk about cheese b/c 99% of the things can be countered.
Hope that helps.

Japes version of the Utah Utes Run and Gun (http://www.angelfire.com/pro/ncaaca/)
The Shoot (http://www.lloyd1.com/rasputin/football/shoot/index.html) another version of the Run-n-shoot offense
Tommy Browder's Footabll Coaching Page (http://www.geocities.com/colosseum/Field/8581/index.html) More run n shoot. Warning this site has corny music. LMFAO
