about this game and it's glitches and stuff but what do you guys like about the game. The reason I ask, is it seems like everyone likes the 2004 version and the 2005 version doesn't have some of the same features of 2004. I guess the point is if EA is listening, maybe they will keep what we like and ha ha change some of the things that we don't like for 2006.
Just a few things that I like:
1) 70 man roster
2) 3-3-5 D.
3) Hot route system is pretty good
4) like the idea of HFA but they need to tweak it.
5) Recruiting is pretty good
Lastly, I have something that needs to be changed:
They need to fix the schedules. Most of the time they won't let you delete a week. They make you play that week for some reason. For example, everyone knows the last game for Florida St. is always Florida but not in this game. You always have somebody else as you continue in dynasty mode. OSU/Mich and Alabama/Auburn are good examples as well. Need to fix that

HFA, good idea poorly imputed. again, i've already said how to make it less effective
3-3-5 and 4-2-5 were great additions to this years pb
please keep clearout all in the game :D

You can usually delete a game from your schedule by changing your opponent, then dropping them. Sometimes you have to do it several times before you schedule a team it will let you drop, but as long as it gives you plenty of choices, you can usually find one it will let you drop. Strange quirk.

Even though I complain about many things in NCAA 2005 there are some aspects of 05' that make it better than 04'. I agree with all 5 of yours plus here is a few more of mine:
General
(1) Like the increase in arm strentgh for QB
(2) Hot/cold streaks
(3) Increased # of user recognized plays
(4) Coach up your team after T.O.
Dynasty
(1) Transfers
(2) Change player positions
(3) Ability to look at a specific Conference or Top 25 during simulating games

As far as things I like, the run flip "opposite" call is huge. It's something that is used all the time in real football, and I love it.

Has to do with the NCAA changing from allowing 12 or 13 games on a schedule to 11 (maybe 12 for a few). I just look at the team I want to drop and create-a-coach for them and add a 12th game for that team because they can't go below 11 games. Then I delete the coach and remove that team from my schedule.

thanks for the help. Good call Wolverine and Hokie. There is definitely some cool features in the game. Has anybody really paid attention to the match-up stick feature. Does it actually work. I normally have a mixed bag on that. Some good results and some bad results.

I know who I like to go after regardless. I always like to abuse the safeties.... Mayb I need to use it a little more. It is useful to c how plyers r responding. So I think it is a good addition....

i use the matchup stick like once or twice a game
i'll line up and see how weak or strong their corners and safeties are or which side of the line i should run to on 4th and short or something

I know everyone complains about the HFA being too much of a factor, but I like it and think it should be left alone. As long as there is an option to turn it off during exhibition play and online play, I'm fine with it. Just like in real life, it makes you play almost a perfect game if you plan on going into a place like the Swamp and coming out with a win--just like it should be. IMO, HFA might be the single, best addition to this year's game, and has been ignored for far too long in other football simulation games.

I agree that it is an awesome feature. The only thing that I don't like is when I have a veteran team and a highly composed to team at that, and the CPU won't let you audible or hot route. Against an inexperienced QB or a non-veteran team, it should be almost impossible to audible but not against a veteran group. Also, using your line of thinking, the defense should have a difficult time using an audible as well. That doesn't happen in this game. Awesome, awesome feature though. It is definitely one of the best new features in the game. It just needs to be tweaked. Not every team gets spooked when they go the swamp. The Noles don't always win at the swamp but they win their fair share and even as bad as Rix was, he didn't have a whole lot of problems in the swamp.

i like the idea, i just hate how it works. i mean, watch the UF and FSU game for instance. whoever is the home team still makes audibles at the LOS. granted, it's not from a ace normal look to a shotgun spread, but they do make audibles using hand signals. i mean it's basically ridiculous that your backs can't hear you when you're 2 feet away. i've played in the georgia dome, i know what it's like to have thousands of fans and it being so loud on the field, but we still made audibles.
if you're the away team in this game (unless your ahead by a considerable amount) you're basically helpless. visit the wishlist section and i explained a way to make HFA better for next years version.

The biggest upgrade, IMO, is the ability to flip running plays without flipping the formation.
Last year, there were only a select few formations that were either symetrical (so you could flip without your opponent knowing), or had running plays going to both sides. This year that's not an issue.
I remember last year people would just shift their line strongside against a lot of the I Formations, which pretty much made it impossible to run from those formations.
