I am all for blow outs! They happen. It is part of the game.
Here is where we have to get a ton better for next year though. It always seems that the only one to get a BAD break is the player that is losing. I should know I have lost 125 games. I see the player that is winning trying to run up the score by throwing non stop corner routes to Rrandy Moss even though We double team him and float a LB to get 3rd Honolulu Blue jersey on him, only to see the ball hit off 3 of my guys and drop to the ground 2 times then Culpuker squeeks a 3rd and fluke by all 3 DBs for a token first down. This should not be allowed and should be frowned upon by all the Madden Gods in the game. If we tried to run that bull crap for REAL on Sunday, every Dead football coach that ever played or coached, would roll in his grave and intervene best he could. And yes I have seen it happen. The football & Baseball Gods do exist; and don't piss 'em off!
This does not end the LOPSIDED debauchle though. When the losing team has to take its offense down the field they always get punished by a flurry of unforced dropped passed to wide open receivers and a couple fluke fumbles to add to the frustration. I get pissed and will pause the game just to apologize to an opponent if this happens to them. It is embarressing and I dont think it's necessary. So keep it fair and quit screwing a player just because he is losing.
Also, next year, let's make sure triangle = catch and L1 = swat!!!
I make so many moves BACK to the ball and press Triangle for a SURE FIRE interception, only to watch my DB stick his one hand up and grab his crotch with his other hand and knock it to the ground on first down. Now, I PRESSED TRIANGLE to catch, NOT the grab your balls button. I didnt even know we had a grab one's balls button.. But I can assure you this.... I would never press it.. On 3rd and long or 4th and long and at the end of the halfs and game I may press the "knock it down" button.
That would be great.. yeah..
