Not sure how feasible this will be but it would be great if:

One - there was a way to manaully set the AI for DBs in zone coverage to blindly play there zone responsibilites instead of following the first reciver to cross their view only to be out of position when a second reciever attacks the DBs assigned zone (ie the dreaded corner). Quite a few cover 3 zones show that their shoud be a defender in perfect position to de up the corner route but because of the way the DB plays the first guy into his vision they are always out of position to cover the zone. The deep corner is one of the hardest passes to throw in the real NFL. Same should be true for Madden.

Second - The AI of the O-line still needs to be improved. There is no good reason that a OG should angage a DE just to let him go to chase a LB, especially when that OG is at the point of attack. I still don't understand the thinking behind this. On an off tackle dive left, why whould the LG engage the DE and then let him go allowing the DE to make the tackle in the backfield. It would be nice if there was a way (simular to man lock on, man lock off on D) where we could call zone blocking or man blocking for O-line. This could help with the nanos also.

Extra - Have checks and balances in the play calling system. For instance, if a person calls the same play more than 5 times have the likley hood of that play working drop. This would get complicated with audibles and hot routes but it would be nice. If the offence runs counters all game and the D calls a play that is drawn up to stop the corner then hook up the DB AI on the DB that is supposed to stop the corner. Wishfull thinking I know. A possible way to do this would be in the defence assignments screen. You get one pass route to watch while in zone (streak or corner).

Oh yeah - get rid of Disc Glitch once and for all. Find a way to be able to patch or hot fix glitches in the code (as new glitches are discovered) and make the fixes part of the downloaded rosters.

BRING BACK FATUGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Find better ways to reward strait, honest, good old fasion NFL style ball.

That's not too much to ask LOL

Great Idea's especially with the dfensive assignment stuff to have certain routes to look out for, but I have to disagree with calling the same play 5 times in a row and the likelyhood of it working to drop, well I agree if you were talking about offline against the cpu but if you are talking about online play, if you can't stop it ppl should keep doing it you know?

I agree that players in zone should stick to their assignments/positions on the field and shouldn't be pulled out of position because of what the reciever in front of him did, it's NOT man coverage! That aspect of the game really pisses me off.

I also agree that their should be the ability to call pass protection hotroutes for the O-line to help against nanos and such blitzes. I've said it before, "predictability shouldn't be rewarded." Yet the Dime nano is predictable as hell and the guard/center still don't do their job and the blitz comes through either way, even if it's so predictable. If only we can call out our own pass protections like QBs in the NFL do. That'll be awesome. :)

Since you can change D-line rush schemes, one should be able to the same
with the O-line.

I'd to have the option of creating blocking assignments within the create-a-playbook feature. There are several roll-outs I'd like to create, but can't cuz
of the limited blocking scheme-options.

Currently, the Qb has 4 options of movement in the create-a-playbook feature......1)sneak 2) 1-3 dropback. I'd like to see a 5th and 6th movement.
For example, roll left, roll right. Right now, the schemes are designed only for
dropping back. There should be some movement schemes for roll-out and sprint-out passing.

the zone D in Madden is ridiculous. I totally agree with the first post.(in real life) Cover 3 D eats up corner routes, especially when it is the only guy in the zone. I wonder how many of the creaters of madden have ever touched a football field??? the DB's are clowns and are stupid in the game. The only way to stop the pass is to check in WR in mid motion, or what happens more often then not, u are in great position with a DB to make a bat down or pick, and when you push the button he tyrs the spinning hip catch or jumps the wrong way allowing the WR to come right under him to make an easy catch. or when u jump to swat it down you rub into the WR and completely miss the ball while he catches it and takes it to the house.

I played football for a major part of my life and I was an all conference DB, and Im sick of seeing how poorly these "NFL" DB's play in Madden. The mistakes that players make in this game wouldn't be acceptable in HS football, yet these are NFL players in cpu. form looking like idiots. They really need to make the game more realistic in that aspect.

Well...I'll ya' what they sure as heck stop most deep passes. What's un-realistic is how they react to pass plays. I mean they can beat and still recover to bat the ball down on most plays.

true. thats the thing with it, even when they make a play its usually unrealistic. I hate seeing them not even react to them. my DB's do this on a lot of 3rd and long situations. they dont even try to make a play and their head is right in the WR chest in they are in a nice squat position and the wr will make the catch and barrel through the DB to get the first down yards. i cant switch to the DB all the time cuz the ball get thrown fast or the WR the ball is going to isnt even on the screen so I run the risk of getting way outta position.

The overall awareness of the WR and DB's really needs to be tweeked, the DB's definately need more work.

Whats the rating of your Db's. To honest, my Db's cause a lotta break-ups.
I mean there have been a loota pass plays where the ball was on the money
and my safety or corner will come through with a crushing blow and jar
the ball a loose. I kinda practice switching to the closest man on "D", when this happens, I'll usually break up the play.

Im in the 3rd year of my Bears franchise and the ratings in my secondary are:
DB1 Tillman 94
DB2 Azumah 93
DB3 Vasher 89
FS Brown 95
SS Green 94

Zoom and Tillman are the top DB;s goin to the Pro Bowl on my season. The comp. doesnt go at Tillman much at all but they beat Zoom like a rented mule, yet he is the number 1 vote getter for the pro bowl. Its cuz he has like 80+ tackles and 6 picks and 12 PD. Tillman 40 tackles and 6 INT's and 19 PD. Tillman does a much better job than Azumah, but he is barely rated higher and its cuz the comp. doenst go at him as much. I will double team zooms guy with Mike Brown and they both mess up and allow the catch, but make the immediate tackle.

Even when I switch to the DB if im in perfect position half the time he DB misses the ball because, he rubbed off of the WR, spun away from the ball so the WR makes the catch in front, or the animation swings the arm just to the side of the ball by about an inch and its caught. Or like I said he doest even react to the ball until its caught then I make the tackle.

I noticed that you "lost" McQuarters. I use the Bears too. I'm in my 5th season. Ultimately, im gonna pick up a Cb with 4.2 speed. So I can run a
better 46 scheme ( with more riskier blitz packages). I already have to good OLB's with like 4.4 -4.5 speed, who I imported from NCAA.

yeah good ole R-Dub demanded a trade after he went to the Pro Bowl as my number 3 DB with 9 INTs. My hole D is stacked. I will trade Joe Odom after this year and get a faster LB there, but he has a 90 rating. Briggs is a baller but doesnt get too many tackles since teams never run the rock and I get the 4-3 off the field for the most part after first down.

I had 35 sacks with Alex Brown this season, 14 with Ogun, 13 by Tommie, and 12 with Urlacher. Urlacher also had 180 tackles and led my team with 8 Ints.
