I think people get sick of having Peyton Manning or Tom Brady get hawked before the sideline by big fat @$$ DT or DE. Peyton Manning's speed should be at about 70. Tom Brady's speed also a 70. McNabb a 85. Rosltheburger a 85 as well. And i'm sick of the Toss's and sweep's not working cause of the exremely grandma jogging speed of pulling linemen!!!

K thurr, saying Manning is insanly slow is like saying Vick has average speed. Manning is Fast when he wants to be, but he doesn’t reply on his speed to get him yards, he has his arm for that, when Manning scrambles, its his last resort, that doesn't mean hes slow, slower then some, but not slow.

manning is not in anyway quick... he shouldnt be at 49 like i think he his but he shouldnt be anything above 60.

Samari... Peyton Manning would bury you in a race. I promise. He would also beat most of the d line. there are some faster, but if they are running one way, and Peyton is runnig the other, there is NO WAY any one could stop, shift momentum, start up and then catch Manning from behind. That is a huge problem with Madden. We need to get better there.

basically there is just too big of a speed gap between players on this game. I mean Peyton Manning in this game runs at about the equalivant of a 10.0 40time, it's friggin riduclious. I mean i'm tired of being a white QB and having a 320 pound DT chase me down from like 15 yards away!

yeah fo real. the QB's are WAYYY to slow. these are athletes out there that can run when needed. even Vinny Testerverde can get first downs with his legs if needed and there is the opening. the whole motion of the qbs is slow except for the scrambling ones. guys like Rex Grossman can easily pick up 10 yards running if the D leaves a big gap somewhere, yet his legs and arms move so fricken slow. I bet these guys would run about 7-10 second 40s. When in reality that is insane. O-lineman can run that yet in the game they are just ridiculously slow as well. pulling lineman hardly ever make it into the hole before the RB. they need to fix this.

not all QB's should be burners by any means, just given some kinda pep in their step so they can get some decent yards. when there is no defender within 15 yards.

Favre speed is underrated in the game as well, he is a lot faster than that but he is not in anyway fast. David Carr definately is as fast or even faster than roellthisberger Brady's speed is just about right, this guy is a turtle but Manning is a lot faster than what he is in the game

did u ever see jeff garcia run, he could move. he had pretty high rushing yards for a QB in his time, and hes still quick. i think no QB should be under 60 speed except for those who are statues, bledsoe, vinnie, chris chandler, and kurt warner. i seen peyton take of on a PA bootleg and the DL did not have a chance. it is total bs, they run like they are stuck in molasses.

im pretty sure manning would kill you in a race. he ran a 4.8. that is pretty slow but in madden it would take manning 12 seconds to run 40 yards.

im againts this peyton theory...he isnt faster than most dts he'll take off once every 50 plays for maybe 5-10 yards I mean noones around. but in defense to big ben I could see him as a 75-78 he noves extremely well fo his size and this is why he was a top prospect... if u get a chance to watch him play healthy just look at the time he can buy himself when protection breaks down.... for the most part I think qb speed are close in this game but I dont ever want to see Kearse beat tomlinson to the outside ever again some of the DE have the speed of safeties and lower rate cbs...ridiculous

We need you samari.... is it ROLLE?? 4.384 is faster than just about every player in the combine this year. You would be faster than almost every football player on the Detroit Lions, but would probably be caught from behind by every defensive Lineman in Madden 2005.

There is a world of difference from running a 40 yard dash in track compared to having a helmet and pads on, standing in the pocket, then deciding to bolt out of there.

I would rather see better blocking from all angles then every QB getting a speed boost. QB's like Brady are so elusive because they still have pass protection even if a looping DE gets behind them.

What I'm saying is in madden your blockers don't do a damn thing against someone looping around to the side but in real life your blocker is gonna keep his back to the QB and they don't give up no matter what angle the rush comes from.

If we had proper pass protection then we wouldn't need pure speed to be elusive, just like in real life. All it takes is a few steps in a different direction and the rush is changed completly.

I think they need to change the player controls for Dlinemen to fix the fact that u cant break the pass pro without nanoblitzing, maybe like combos or something.

About the QBs just play west coast offense, quick medium length passes. u cant expect to have forever if ur going for long passes all the time. Unless its nanoblitzes then ur just ****ed.

i think QB speed is fine and accurate right now, giving them more speed owuld only add to the bubblegum type play we see now.

i completely disagree with the fact that vick's speed is overrated. did u ever watch him play a game. his throwing accuracy and awarenesss is overrated bc last year he couldn't pass if his life depended on it. big ben should be better, he is very quick on his feet and breaks at least a tackle a run. even defensive linemen struggle to take him down and he barely ever fumbles the ball. most qb's in the game run like they are trapped in quicksand. that is why people sometimes use seneca wallace over hasslebeck on the seahawks. he is the worst passer ever but second fastest qb in the game.

I don't know if anyone remembers this but i recall a bootleg play against someone on monday night football. Peyton did that one play where he the handoff tp edge. He saw an opening and he took off for a 20 yard gain. HUGE play; won them the game. And to be honest i don't think that anyone deserves a 49 rating unless you get over like a 5.4 40 lol.
