Probably WAY too soon to be thinking about this, but EBGames' site lists the ship date for 2006 as 7/12/2005-let the countdown begin!

Some how I don't think I'll be as excited to play the 2006. Hopefully EA can give me a reason to go out and spend the 50 bucks on it.

Yeah, I was on the internet every day waiting for 2005 release. This year I hope they do some things better. I still played it a lot. it just got frustrating to get beat by the Deep ball so easily. its hard to gripe about though. You want to be able to catch Deep passes. but you dont want every one thrown up to be caught either. But I gurantee I'll still preorder and get it the first day its out. I like NCAA better than madden. I just wish it was as polished and smooth as madden.

Release date seems about the same every year.

i got this game the day it came out on 7/15/04. i just traded it in on a 20 dollar discount toward mvp baseball 2005 coming out on wed. Ok, i will buy the game next year if the following happens:

1.) Better AI i.e. not as many dropped passes, defenders running away from the QB who's past the LOS, deep lob working all the time.

2.) MORE PEOPLE PLAYING ONLINE PAST THE FIRST 2 MONTHS IT'S RELEASED!!!! I got this game and started playing online in mid august, and the online was alright, but then as soon as october hit, the online was dead with like 50 people online on a good night.

3.) Some MINI-GAMES!!! Madden has the mini-camp, i want something like this, i don't always want to play a game for like 1 hour, the mini-games alot of the time are more fun than the actual game.

4.) LOWER the PRICE!!! Even if the game suceeds in 1-3, i'm not spending $50 dollars on this game. I think for the first time in a long time, EA SPorts didn't price all it's game at $50 bucks. MVP is only 30 and is a much richer and deeper game. March Madness and Live suxed as usual and went the ESPN route this year with basketball.
