that should be pass interference whether it's done by the cpy or a human shouldn't make a difference. it happens waaaaaaaay too often. sometimes my guy won't even get a chance to go up and catch the ball before he's hit. that's a penalty.
i know ncaa allows contact downfield, but contact before the ball gets to the wr should be 15 yards everytime

I agree. On Heisman sometimes the CPU's guys will warp from beside or slightly behind my WR to in front so they can flatten him before he has a chance to catch it. That kinda pisses me off.

I have seen it happen in nearly every game I play. It happens mostly on the deeper passes, but I have seen it happen on the 10 to 15 yard passes as well. Pass interference isn't called nearly enough on the CPU. The CPU defenders gets away with murdering my WR or TE, but I get called for incidental contact. If you have penalties turned up higher then more penalties are called (which makes sense, but why are more penalties always called on the human controlled human team compared to the CPU- cheating CPU AI).

The only positive I see in all this is when you are playing against someone who throws deep all the time and is good with user catch. I have a friend who used to do this consistently and my counter was to stay deep with a CB and hit L2 a fraction of a second before he caught it. I got pass inteference a couple of times but the number of times I prevented deep completions more than made up for it. They need to revise the game to make deep passes harder to complete (i.e. make it easier to swat the ball away). Otherwise having to do the L2 early hit makes things worse.

i tried to complete a pass yeasterday with 8 secs left. 32-26 i am on his forty. i toss it towards the end zone only to have to FS user big hit the WR, 10 YARDS INFRONT OF THE FOOTBALL- 2 secs before the ball even got there... damn it yet another disconnect for throwing the controller too hard and it tearing out of the PS2
