I don't have the PC version.. what do they do when the "sync".. what happens?

just join a pc madden league.....I did and I only play people from there for the actually weeks game and for scrims........always get good competition and no one sync's out...

Ouch.. I used to play the pc version last year and they had the same glitch. Glad to see there's a counter this year.

Well, I'm not sure it's a true counter. I just know it's worked so far.

I can say with 100% fact that the .ini change is NOT a counter... :mad:

Just EA's BS meter trying to get your hopes up they 'solved' it. I still get synced. The only true counter is as someone mentioned play unrated/unranked games or continue to keep track of and only play good people who play straight. Also avoid high disco% players or players with outrageous looking stats.

I wish I could get out to people on the PC and have them listen that I found out that some syncs are BY accident PLUS maybe YOU. My syncs dropped ALOT (alnost non-existent for months) when I took my connection off of my netgear 'best buy' router and went straight to Internet (cable). So with that I tested my theory and in fact just about all of those cheap consumer routers for under $100 cannot handle Madden traffic. I tried the netgear, a USRobotics and Dlink and they all were responsible for increase in syncs after my quiet few months straight to internet.

With the router(s) I myself have been accused of "syncing" someone as a few times I was losing and just was minding my business playing like normal and BOOM, Sync. Sometimes I got the win.

So before you cry foul to everyone that you play that they are all sync cheaters, try playing without the router and go straight to internet. Or get yourself a more expensive one as those consumer boxes are only good for the general masses who just browse and check email, etc.

(I did find one consumer router that was stable and that was the Linksys W54G or whatever its name was. The Linux based one with the Cisco name plate on it. The best bargain in consumer routers.)

Since going to my homebuilt BSD router on old PC it has been stable as well.
