I hate the new hand signal animations and would like the choice of using voice audibles instead.

Perhaps in the playcall screen pressing either L3 or R3 (since it's not used for anything else) will use voice signals or hand signals...

Voice Signals shouldn't always be heard in loud venues... but are quick.

Hand signals take more time... but are always understood.

But the offensive player should have a choice...

I wouldn't mind the hand signals as much if they would just hurry them up. Especially in rush situations, like the clock running down.

I think this is a viable replacement to FALSE STARTS during no huddle. If the QB uses hand signals, it takes alot longers to get the hot routes done, but the receivers always get it. The defense has time to setup.

On the other hand, if he uses voice signals the wideouts will have a hard time hearing the instructions in loud stadiums. So a WR might not hear his new route if the crowd is too loud. It will add to the home field advantage by adding a realistic effect to crowd noise. And force the home QB to hush the crowd when they are loud at inappropriate times (3rd down).

It adds realism to the game without articficial means...
