Here are few things to fix for 2006, these are strategies that I use and have been used against me that are unrealistic about Madden 2005. These are not listed in any particular order. I'm not going to list the obvious (disco, quicksand).
#1: Over-Effectiveness of the QB sneak - Way too easy and never happens in real life. I've seen players run with McNabb all the way down the field and he never fumbles.
#2: Fix the Goalline D - If it's 4-and-1 and you call the goalline defense all out blitz (I think it's blitz C) 80% of the time it should work. Even with the Ravens or Patriots it's probably only about 25%.
#3: Make Kearse play more realistic - Okay, Jevon Kearse is a great player, but on 2005 he's ridiculous. This was kind of the problem with Vick in 2004 when he was virtually unstoppable. Kearse is fast but he can't be at MLB then get outside and stop a super-fast RB like Michael Bennett.
#4: Scale back the Defense (a little bit) - I am hesistant to say this because I love the emphasis on defense. But if I'm on offense and I design a play to get Marvin Harrison 1-on-1 with the strong safety, and then the SS successfully makes the play every time, it's just not real football.
#5: Make the defense play "true to form" - What I am talking about are the quarter and dime defenses that consistently stop the running game. And also the goalline defenses that consistently stop the pass. Things that never happen in the NFL.
I think I'm forgetting 1 or 10 things. Let me know your feedback and fell free to add to the list.
