To make people change up teams on-line why not omit IR or players out for (no.) weeks off of the rosters for ranked games? I remembered when Vick was injured in Maddden 2004 and people on-line were pissed that you could still use him.

I agree and disagree...

I agree with it because it will force people to either adjust to a team without maybe the star. Or force you to learn how to play with someone other than what you know. I guess you would become a beter overall madden gamer.

I disagree because say you only have 2 QBs on your roster but 1s on IR.

-Say I play with the Titans...

...and next year McNair and Volek are the only QBs on the team. McNair is on IR and I play a game and Volek gets injured for the game, what could I do pass with my Kicker, game over right there.

But some have 2 which would lead to a problem.

So when a QB does go on IR in that situation every team will grab one from FA, Practice squad, trade, etc, to get another QB on the roster.

yeh that made no sence.

u will always have at least 2. If one gets injured then the team has to pick up another one anyway.

Hey instead of real life injuries effecting it. How about online injuries. Lets say T.O gets racked by Roy Williams and T.O breaks his ankle and is out six weeks or so. Therefore, he is out for six games online for that player. That would add some more reward to the HITSTICK or just a great hit eeehh!!! Just an idea though!

It does make sense, you just read it the wrong way... some teams have 2 QBs only 2. So if madden didnt update the 3rd stinger you would have only one QB and if hes injuried your screwed.

Others do have 3 which would be fine.

Im sure all the eagles users benched T.O. when he was injured, they wouldnt win because nobody else can catch on the team.

Even if everybody followed those "guidelines" and didn't play their hurt players, EA sports updates the rosters 1 time a month at best. If a QB gets hurt in real life a couple days after the last update, then it looks like that team is stuck with 1 QB online if they only have 2 on the roster. Of course the team is forced to pick up another QB if one gets put on IR but EA isnt forced to update the roster for a backup.

ESPN 2K5 had that feature in their game. When you were in online leagues and if it was a real life injury he was out. Also if you were in a online league and downloaded the new rosters, it would state that as well. That is why there still needs to be a ESPN 2K6 to push EA to the limits.
