How do you guys stop or contain the money receivers like Braylan Edwards? I usually double team him or make sure I have safety help. The problem with the double teams is you get exposed in other spots. I've tries some cover 2 zones or even the nickle cover 4 but it will still leave you in one on one.

That is one of the best ways to stop a "money receiver". Get to the qb, and sack him as often as possible. I really don't worry about the receivers as much as the Qb standing there filing his nails. If u defense doesn't get to him. It really doesn't matter what type of coverage u call. Someone will get open.

amen my vg brotha. preach on

especially against michigan. none of their qb's are fast, so you don't have to worry about the scrambling. if you just sit back in zone or play man cover 2, your opponent will just sit there and wait for someone to be open. mix in blitzes (especially cover 3). zone blitzes work well, but try manually controlling a db off the edge

if you're really having trouble: pick dime man cover 2, spread your dlinemen, move both DE's way outside and maually take a DT and roam the middle (only use this on certain pass plays) oh and coverage audible down (press coverage) that still leaves you prone to the stuff near the sidelines, but if your db's are good enough, it should allow for the safety to have enough time to react

If he's passing deep, definetely use man coverage. I actually don't like double teaming, jus have safety help on that side of the field

thanks fellas. I'm defenitley going to concentrate on gettting more pressure. Michigans o-line is good so it's about me getting creative. Of course the delayed bump always helps a little too :)

be careful............there are some of us out there that know how to screw up the delayed bump (i'm one of them lol). i'd see that and it'd be touchdown city

you've hinted at that before in other posts. I'd imagine there is no way to get you to reveal that new tidbit? I know you can beat the db with motion and a pump fake or two but is it the rub routes that free your man as well or is it a button combo?

oh no, no motion involved (technically) and no route changing necessary. it's actually a play (though "something" is done). i think kobra and bomber are considering putting it into the filmroom, but i'm not sure. it's too dangerous to post on the boards. what's your online name? i won't tell you how to do it, but i'll run it against you. if you figure out what i do then i guess you'll just figure it out. oh, and no pump fake is needed. i know i'm not the only one that knows it, there are about 6 of us here than know of it and i know of one other guy that knows it. the less that know the better lol :D
