This is just laughable. If Bush is in the open field he's gone. Plain and simple. I've had him get ran down by DT's and everybody else.

The lack of the long TD run is a major problem. The better backs should be able to take it the distance a lot more often if they get into the secondary or they get to the corner, especially against inferior teams. The faster ones out run the angle and the pursuit. I have as much success breaking away with a back that has 83 speed as I do a back that has 93 speed. The defense just runs faster if my guy is faster.

your problem could be because of what level you're playing on. i can tell a huge difference between when i run with a 92 speed guy and when i run with an 86 speed guy, especially when trying to get around the corner.

Reggie Bush as a impact player could be lethal with his speed, when you play USC on NCAA who do you try and stop, it aint going to be easy

Its impossible to turn the corner against the CPU. No matter fast you are you cannot out run the CPU. You can gain 20-25 yards but you cannot break a 70 yard run. The CPU always has the angle on you no matter what you do.

you have to learn you to juke and spin. the juke works extremely well when there's someone coming from straight ahead, just lay off the speed burst and juke right before he's about to tackle you. the spin works when the cpu has the angle on you, just spin to the opposite side (may need to throw in a juke move right after that).

try that and see if you can't break some HUGE runs.

I have neither the coordination nor the dexterity to spin the right way, then juke, then turn upfield and run. I can't turn the corner with Tedd Ginn Jr. on AA. When I actually execute a juke, I get caught because some 80-something speed SS has an angle on me.

I've had 99 speed Ted Ginn Jr. get caught by a SS with 86 speed in the open field because he had an angle. You see, EA thinks proper angles are all-encompassing, but they fail to realize those angles simply don't exist for some players (such as Ginn, Devin Hester, Skylar Green, Reggie Bush).

And yes, this was on All American.

I consider my stick skills to be above average, and even when I play with 90+ SPD HB's, I can't ever get a long (50+ yard) TD run. I'm not saying that they should be easy or anything, but I've played close to 400 online games, and I've probably had 2 touchdown runs longer than 50 yards, and both of them involved me evading somebody who had the angle on my 30 yards downfield. You can't ever just outrun the defense down the sideline.

I think part of it is that the safeties are WAY too cautious to come up in run support. So what you end up getting are too many 10-15 yard runs, but not enough 30+ yard runs. The safeties just play back so that they never end up getting blocked or missing a tackle near the LOS, and there is always somebody deep to take the angle on you. But on the other hand, there isn't enough run support up in the box, so you get an excess number of 8-15 yard runs.

But it doesn't matter man. Online is AA default sliders. If you can't outrun the defense down the sideline online, you aren't going to be able to do it offline either.
