When does "Fair Play" Mode force you to punt?

I believe it is if you are up by 14 or more points. Just like if you are near your opponents goal line and try to go for it on 4th down, it will make you kick the field goal instead. Personally, i don't like fair play, so i usually play people i know and we just don't bother with all of the ranking crap.

how do you disable fair play mode

you just turn it off when you are challenging someone, move the controller (cursor or whatever you want to call it) up to where it says ranked game on and turn it off, then you can edit other options to turn off or on.
