You know he averaged something like 14 yards a carry last season? He had one game where he had 9 carries and 6 TDs for something like 300 yards. He's insane.

And yea, his parents are dead, so Deion adopted him. They're from the same home town.

Noel is excellent in all aspects of being a runner but the thing that experts are saying he does on a "superstar" level is maintaining speed thru cuts and direction changes. He will juke you and it almost seems like he sped up, amazing.i believe has Noel second in the nation for 2007 behind UT silent Chris Rainey so he is very highly lauded for an undersized RB.

I believe his top choices are UF,Miami,FSU and Texas.

the state of florida is over rated as far as high school football goes. TRUST ME

anyway, damn this kids speed. it's his acceleration. it looks like he's barely even running and then (damn i hate to say this, but ) BOOM!! he's off. he has determination and drive. it's obvious he's playing against inferior opponents, but to break gang tackeles like that is just sick.

Now, this is funny considering that every Mid and Major D1 program has at least 1 Floridian on there roster. Also, the state of Florida has more NFL players than any other state. Overated? Don't think so. I am telling you right now, Florida has High School freshmen football teams that could beat the state champs of a state like Illinois.

Yea that kid's got crazy acceleration. it doesn look like he's not going that fast and then he just explodes. Flordida being overrated? I dunno. I'd argue that it produces the best prospects. It's a top 3 for sure, along with Cali and Texas. Ohio is sitting at #4 :(

they may have better players, but i'm talking teams. for instance take Lincoln High school which produces some of the nation's best talents. they've played my high school (valdosta high) since 98 i believe. we haven't had a blue chip player in years (i can't even remember lol) but we always play lincoln tough (if we don't win :D ). on top of that, they are a 6A school, we're a 5A. with all their players that are nationally ranked they should kill a small school like us. i say small because we're always undersized

another example. alex godfrey who transfered from some florida school to go to my high school his senior year. guy was heavily recruited by georgia prior to him coming to our high school. in arguably georgia's toughest region he had (this was 5 years ago so i'm tryin to remember) i think 600 yards rushing and didn't miss any games. let's just say he faded off into bolivion

that's why i say florida hs is over rated. i'm just saying georgia football as a whole (hs) is better than florida football. IMO

again that's just my opinion. maybe i'm wrong, maybe i'm not but i'm entitled to my opinion

I actually Interned at Lincoln. I still know alot of coaches there including Dave Wilson. While they have top players coming out, that don't have all the studs that it takes to be Superior. A couple of years they were, but that was it.

It is hard to find quality coaches in Florida. It is also unlike Valdosta, in which I am very familiar with that school. Your school may not have the studs, but the overall dedication from you GREAT coaching staff and the COMMUNITY as a whole pays great dividends for the program. Kids grow up wanting to go to your school and play football for your coach. There just aren't alot of programs like yours around anymore in any state. Kids are fickle and not alot have any type of commitment to anything let alone a school or a football program.

Now back to Lincoln. North Flordida doesn't have great football. If you want to see the real studs, with great programs and great coaching you will have to come to South Florida. There are some programs that will knock your socks off. Lincoln isn't representitive of the whole state by all means.

HH, any teams i need to be on the lookout for (south florida wise) to change my opinion? all i get to see is north florida. we play lake city often too.

BTG, HH will vouch for me that VHS is the real deal. it depends on where we play any of th schools you mentioned. if we play at bazemore-hyder stadium (cleveland field), the "ghosts" of cleveland field would help us get the win. no not on bs calls, just fluke things that happen. take 98' for example. we're down 7-0 to a team that runs power football. we coudln't do crap on offense and were getting killed on defense. some how, some way out linebacker gets into a gang tackle to tackle their RB. he then strips him and returns it for a touch. that momentum was all we needed to go ahead 14-7 and win. wierd stuff happens on that field man. it's eerie

Valdosta High School is one of the PREMIER programs in the nation. If you haven't heard of them, then you don't know a whole lot about high school football. I am not trying to offend anyone, but it is the truth. They have GREAT community support, and a GREAT coaching staff. Always have.

South of Orlando is where the real football is still at in the state of Florida, DJ. Orlando gets athletes, but they don't have the budgets to hire a real staff. I know alot of coaches there, as I once worked there, and they are limited. Lakeland is a hot bed. Then you have Sarasota Booker, Miami Northwester, Westminister, Palm Bay High School, Belle Glade, Pahokee and a whole host of others.

There are a couple in Jacksonville, but they are smaller schools like Bolles. They would get hurt playing with the likes of Booker or Northwestern.

West Palm gets football is horrendous. They get some decent players coming out of there, but there programs as wholes stink.

Like I said before, though, Lincoln is above average at best. Even the year they won states when in 6A, the 5A and 4A state champions would have beat them. Football just isn't played at the same caliber in North Florida than South. In South, you have athletes all over the field. You would truly be amazed. You will never hear of alot of these guys because they won't make the cut for academics to get into college.

ok, my bad then. i'm sure when you saw me post about florida hs football not being worth a darn you thought to yourself, "wow this guy really doesn't know crap about football." it's all good though. i guess it's just because of what i've seen since all we (VHS) ever play from florida are Lake City and Lincoln. hopefully i'll be able to see some games or clips over the net of some of the teams you listed. i have a buddy that lives in jacksonville, so we may have to go check them out.

the lowndes vs valdosta rivalries is probably one of the best rivalries in the state. actually, i've only seen one other team have near as much excitement in the air as that game and that was warner robins vs northside. and that's not even close to how it is down here. we have guys come from all over to watch that game. region championships are usually on the line when these two teams play. i hated that they moved it to the beginnnig of the schedule though. that really sucks.

HH, we'll have to talk more once HS football gets underway. nice to know someone keeps up with it other than me (southern ball at least)

I don't know where you get your facts, but North (Fort Meyers) isn't a little po-dunk school and southwest florida isn't exactly below-average competition. BTW, this is the same school that produced Deion and Jevon Kearse. Lots of good talent down there.

And, oh yeah, you can go ahead and book this one for F$U, provided the program doesn't fall flat on its face in the next two years.

Right now, Devine is still one of those interenet Superstars that videos like the one posted make him look like a stud. I am not hating, just telling it like it is. The potential is there, but those athletes are a dime a dozen in Miami. I will say it again, his competition isn't that great where he plays.

My info is pretty credible. They produce players, but they don't produce teams in Fort Myers. North was 5-4 this past year. Only one of there wins came against an opponent with a better than .500 record. Yes, as far as football on the east coast and south coast of Florida, Southwest Florida schools are po-dunk football schools. But, they do have great athletes.

DJ, My high school is one of the few left, that is so to speak "Friday Night Under the Lights", in the state of Florida. It is great, but nothing like Valdosta High. That place is a factory. Athletics is also my job. I work directly with every AD, football, basketball, softball, volleyball, coach in 14 schools in South Florida. I hear and know alot about football and tradition in high school.

we're not cranking the athletes out like we were back in the early 90's, but we're still consistantly winning. 6-4 is a below average year for us. i think in the past 20 years (this is info off the top of my head here, so don't quote me) we've missed the playoffs twice. sadly enough, one of those years was my senior year. the same year lowndes won the state championship and overcame a 28 point deficit against northside in the dome (that was a great game)

I coached and taught for 10 years. I don't know how I did it. It was too confining for me. I like being my own boss. The best thing about the teaching for me was the bull****ting with the other coaches. I now do that about 75% of my day. The other 25% is business.
