Position changes still have wacky results (incoming players and returning players)

Change an incoming TE to WR (and keep him there for a Power WR), and he will gain nearly 15 points in SPD, STR, and ACC.

You can also make a speedy TE by changing an incoming TE to WR and saving the position change then return to position changes and turn him back into a TE (he will retain his added SPD, STR, and ACC).

Change a new OLB to MLB, and he also gains about 15 points in SPD, STR, and ACC.

Change a recruited FB to HB or WR, and he also gains a bunch in SPD, STR, and ACC.

Changing an incoming FS to CB or SS will result in small boosts to SPD, STR, and ACC.

Heck because how bad EA screwed this up, you can even take an incoming 1* QB and turn him into a guy with 98 SPD, 98 STR, 98 ACC before you even go to Training.

Warning- Your TE or OLB needs to have less than 84 in SPD, STR, and ACC or the rating will be changed into the 40's.

Changing returning players to a new position will initially show your players attributes changing, but they will all return to normal when you look at Training results. If you have 8 WR's and only 3 CB's, just change 2 of your returning WR's to CB (they will keep all their ratings, including AWR).

For those who are curious, this was #2 on the list of three things I will not allow myself to do in my Temple dynasty. I was hoping it would take a little longer to get out, but yes, EA screwed this up big time...

The training results part of it was the part that shocked the heck out of me. And I stumbled upon that purely by accident the second season of my Ducks dynasty...

Ive always stayed away from the position change crap unless its an obvious switch, like putting a big backer at RE. Its just a serious waste of time. Plus, with all of the package swaps you can still take advantage of athletes in different positions, without f*ing up you're players.

I had an odd situation recently. I recruited a 74 OVR MLB with 88 SPD to a team with good depth at MLB, but only one good OLB. So I decided to switch him to OLB. His SPD dropped to 82 and his OVR to 60-something. I switched him back. But if I just plug him in the depth chart at OLB, he keeps all his stats, "reads" as an 82 OVR OLB and has played accordingly. I guess I agree with trying to get rid of the goofy stuff, but MLB to OLB shouldn't drop his SPD -- of all things -- by 6 points.

Oh . . . re-reading the previous posts, is this what would have been changed by going through "training results"?

No. The attributes only go back to normal for returning players. If you want to retain your MLB's speed then you would have to keep your guy at MLB for 1 year and then switch him to OLB as a Sophomore or (RS) Freshman.

In order to avoid the awareness cheat when changing positions for returning players all you have to do is change your player's position then push triangle. Select save changes then go back into position changes and look at your AWR, it will be lower and stay near there when you go to the training results screen after you have selected save changes for the second time.
