one last question facing vick

ok i know thers alot of threads about vick and yes its helpd be alot but i was still have 1 question. if i dont have fast defense ends and i have the audidle down from quarter, do i do that every single play if i know hes gonna scramble most of the times? i just wanna hear what u good people do.

i play my friend and he sux but he loves to drop 50yds back and run left to right until all my guys are tired or thers someone coming back then he bullets to him.

IMO, playing against Vick will make you play defense in a 1 deminsional fashion most of the game becuase most players use him mainly to scramble (unrealistically). Therefore, it's best to have 1 or 2 fast LB's with 82+ speed to spy on him if you don't prefer to audible down all of the time. Versus Vick, I like to use Denver, Steelers, Eagles, or Bucs.

Just call any play to stop what you THINK they will call (i.e. not a vick run) and then pull one of your DTs off the line about 2 yards before the snap (so he doesn't engage with an OLman) and control him. Just sit him there in and follow Vick as he rolls left or right. Takes practice, but if you can get it you will shut ole' Mike down.

heres an idea.

put your defensive ends at the sidelines and put your safetys on the line next to your ends, that way the cpu's a.i. will be so screwed up he wont be able to do anything.

or you could learn about football.

yeah..but then pray that Vick doesn't throw one deep over the middle or you are f*****

I've had to face vick more than I would like to lately. A couple of things I do have definately been mentioned, but I'll recap what I've done. Last game I sacked him I think 6 times and picked him off 2 times.

First of all you have to mix it up. No matter what you call you must mix it up if you are playing someone who knows how to use vick properly. I call some double qb spy, then pick the end and do not engage and get out on contain. Usually I'll have someone blitzing from the opposite side as the end that I use to contain. I will catch them off guard and vick may roll away from the end only to meet up with a blitzing SS/CB/or LB. Once I got vick contained and got my opponent thinking that I was going to come from the outside, I sent a zone blitz kind of up the middle and vick went down as he backed up (as opposed to rolling out). I still got beat, but only gave up 17 points. The main thing was to not allow him time to think and using a decent end to keep a semblance of containment.

I should also mention that I was picked off 4 times and only got 2 INTs myself, so vick had plenty of time, but no where to go. LOL

I don't play online just head to head on all madden and I stop vick all the time your defense will be one sided if you want to contain him the first few downs I make sure I stop his running backs this will make him play one sided and you have him once he starts to line up in pass I use 1/4 and audible to double QB Spy. Last match I had vs Vick sacked him 6 times and made him throw 7 picks 3 returned for tds. Key is bend but don't break...

I have not played against someone using Vick but I do like to use Vick (I would rather pass than scramble, but I refuse to take a sack). My suggestion might not help, but Ill try anyway. If I played against someone that like to drop back 30 yards without utilizing any skills. I would run Quaters or Dime. Manually play with a safety or a CB without a Man assignment. I would just let that person drop back and scramble all he wanted. I would have about 7 people in the secondary 3 down lineman and myself spying him. So if he did decide to throw somebody would be back there to pick it(hopefully). With stick skills he should not be able to run back 30 yards to the line of scrimmage and then gain yards because I would tag that hiney. Im not sure if this will work but I will try it if I encounter the Vick problem that so many people have.
