Once again I have an issue to address. Now I appreciate Madden allowing you to update rosters online, but they defeat the purpose when they allow you to put hurt players in the game without so much as a scratch. Look I know that poster boy Vick means a lot to the NFL and EA, but what about the integrity of the game. " We're gonna promate how realistic the game is every year, but we'll keep just enough bull**** to call it a video game.) Sounds tainted to me.

I agree, Vick is HIGHLY OVER RATED this game. It is fun to try and stop him though. He should prove himself as a great player before EA makes him one. Better get used to this crap pal cause you are going to see it lots.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel like he's overrated beacuse he's INJURED!!!! Don't know too many cats that can run a 4.1 40 with a broken leg.

Everything Vick can do in this game is over rated. From out running every defensive player known to man to throwing a 50 yard pass while running backwards. Run all the way to one side of the field and then throwing a bullet back across to the other side. You see that all the time in the Pro's don't ya? All I am saying is that EA has made Vick some kind of SUPER PLAYER on this game and he hasn't even started more than 1 season. OOOHHH he scrambled for some touchdowns last year so let's make him unstoppable. Like he is the only QB ever in the NFL to run the friggin ball. Truth be known, some of the dudes at EA live alternative lifestyles and want to pump Vick.

On the flip side, I like playing the Falcons especially when someone actually knows what they are doing besides running around till someone comes open. Those dudes usually quit.

This issue about who is over rated could go on all day ... the question is did EA drop the ball, doing updates but not having the guts to leave a guy like Vick, broken leg and all, inujred and off limits for ANY game.

Here's the solution; just give gamers a chance to pick, pre-exsiting injuries on/off .... this way EA can do updates and the chees balls that like to use injured players can play with each other.

I use teams that have injured guys and go to the trouble of moving them off the depth chart ... it just bugs me when the guy shows up on SP Teams ..... EA needed to stand up and stand behind the updates .... not play the wimp and lay down .... there is always next year.

vicks accuracy is way overated......tommy maddox if throws off his back foot it will be way to far.....horrible pass.....but vick can launch the ball 45 yards on target off the back foot.

vick is out, brian dawkins is out, jerry porter is out ... but you can play all of them online?

so what's the point of the update in general ... and making players use it online? whatever happened to if it's in the game, it's in the game?

I think MG hit the nail on the head with his response. About doing updates, have you guys noticed that there hasn't been a new update online for quite a while? Talk about not having the guts to leave a guy like Vick, broken leg and all, inujred and off limits for games, I think they're afraid to do the same with all of the injuries currently in the NFL.

I just don't see the point in even updating the rosters if they're not going to do it "realistically" AND on a consistent basis to reflect the NFL. EA, like you guys have told us a million times "If it's in the Game, it's in the Game."....Let's get it straight....one way or another

Honestly Vito, I think could, but I thing they're afraid to. It's almost like they think they will lose players or something if they choose to leave off real injured players. In my opinion, the only thing they will miss out on are the cheesers and folks that say they play straight which would make things more enjoyable for players like those here on the VG boards.

My only thing is that Coach Reeves, Edwards, nor Belichick have the option, even if they wanted, to put in Vick with a broken leg, Pennington with a horribly broken hand, or Colvin with a fractured hip. As much as they would love to have these critical players back, they just don't have the option. It's life, it's all a part of the game. And if it's in the game....I think y'all know the rest, LOL :D

I'm surprised you guys just have gotten around to this.It is absolutely ridiculous that EA would have a player injured and third on the depth chart and then allow you to sub him back in and all of a sudden he's not injured.This situation needs to be highly addresed in the offseason if not taken care of by EA on Madden 2004.MaddenmMania needs to come down hard on Strausser's butt.
