how is franchise mode better in this year's game from last? are the randomly generated rookies improved (IE no more 99spd 76 acc)

Ok I admit it, I asked a very general question because I wanted to be the first person to post in this section, and I AM lol

MGD's are not terrible. Top 10's are always 80's and above and you can really find some good talent in the mid rounds.

Cool because in 05 I had 1st round players in the 60 overall rating!

I would have to disagree with that

I would say the top3 not the top 10 are in the 80's, and just barely in the 80's at that.

ex. 83 OVR FB
82 OVR LT/RT, goes 1st overall
78 OVR WR goes in early first round.

Draft classes varied wildly in 2005. Some classes were loaded and others were weak. If you went into the draft with a specific need, it might take dumping several draft classes until getting what you wanted.

Or if you want to play it more realistically, just take what you get. Your gameplay stagnates when you always have the superior team.

I have been able to draft players in the second-third rounds that are above 80 overall so I have to disagree with the earlier opinions.

My brother was the cards and he made the playoffs at 7-9. he also picked 27th and got an 81 overall player in the fourth round i think so the MGDs are definatley better because last year I would be luck to find someone overall 75

The MGD players are better than 05 period. I rented the game and ran three off-seasons. Usually I was successful in drafting to 80+ in the first three rounds, regardless of draft position. The others have all been 70+ with the exception of one late 7th rounder that was 69.

In 05, I'd be lucky to even draft a 80+ and two or three 70+, the rest were 60+ and occassionally 50+.

Not true. I drafted two WRs in the Top 5 and they were both 79.

Yes they were both projected top 5.
