Hey Hawk, I'll take the same position as last year. Add a year to my age and set the skills as you see fit. If you can keep them sort of in line with what i had last year all the better. I'm trying to find the original post with the attributes and all listed for everyone. I'll update it when I come across it.

Thanks,

May I be the Kick Returner/ 5th Wideout?

Also, If I do make the team. Do I have to give you any info (ie attributes, bio...)

Thanks

The speed back pos. is taken by djwill. The power or goaline back spot is free. Or you could go for the 4th RB, or backup RB. Youll really see no time unless one of the guys is injured. But you can be a speedy rookie...

(heh) Gets upset when coaches ask him to pass block and is below average at it. Is okay in run blocking, but will never be great at it. Does not fumble as coach in college once rubber cemented a football to his hands for a week. Has not fumbled since. Not injury prone but does have nagging ankle and knee problems that makes him a plodding runner, not offensive line slow, but won't be confused for a WR in the speed department either. Has been known to party with Swedish lesbian porn stars and loves to drink beer.

Mighty- I havent heard from Hobbs for awhile, and he hasnt had any activity in awhile. I really wanted to have people who were going to interact around. I'll put him in for you if you want, but It would be cool, if he just dropped in and said hi to let me know hes alive.

ATM- I don't know if we are going to be cardinals, I always wanted to create a team, but it wasnt available to start a chise with. Here are some teams I am thinking about. I like these teams for their stadiums/colors.

-Browns
-Raiders
-Bucs
-Giants
-Saints
-Dolphins

let me know what you all think..

Zukes - good to see you back, have fun at TE this year.

Miracle - Take a look at what's open and let me know what you want.

Madden Player/alchemist/lilsuper - I will see whats open, I am trying to give out spots to people who regulary post in this forum and this thread first.
I will also see whats open as last years guys start to come in.
Chise wont start for 1-2 weeks, so theres time. there is 3 WR positions left, so thats your best bet. O-line is wide open too.

Instead of LOLB can i get RE

If would be nice if people contributed more to the thread than just position demands.

I think if you want to post what you want for skills this might be a good example.

Power Running back. 24 years old

"My RB is very powerful, a one cut running back. He is not the tallest player but he is very broad and muscular. He has great vision, which he needs because he is not very fast, but he has great acceleration. He is not too agile, but he can break blocks like Jamal Lewis. You don't want to be in his way when he puts his head down, and has been known to knock out Cornerbacks. He played FB for 2 years in college, and is a good passbocker, but could work on his technique. He is agressive, and keeps his feet churing until the defense buries him 6 feet into the ground. Off-field, he is surprisingly quiet and stays to himself in the lockeroom."

you can deff specify how you want to look to the letter.

this just makes the chise more personable, and more fun, than just a stats list.

I will give RE to the player that comes up with the best BIO for that position, since it a position in demand.

Right Defense End. 25 years old

My DE may not be the fastest guy on the field but he finds his way to get to the Quarterback. He can be arrogant at times but on the field he is referred to as a knowledgable veteran. A man that is so-so strength wise, he finds a way to get by the o-line with unique moves. My DE is like Julius Peppers who always seems to find himself at the quarterback. When he is on the field he will get by the o-line and when the play begins the O-lineman know that. In college he was the pass-rush type of player but in his last of 4 years he was able to drop back and play a zone defense as a DE. He played some OLB and is a tremendous athlete but he has a huge ego much like T.O. but he wont get kicked out of camp."

I felt the 49'ers had too much history, plus I hate there stadium. and I hate the colors too.

The browns clasically suck.

I like the giants, they are my hometown fav

I also like the dolphins, plus we coud have a cool gay chic miami vice vibe going. nice pastels!

what!?!?!? just kidding

I also like the saints colors too.

Ok i guess since I probably wont get the DE spot or LB spot I might as well become a wide out.

BIO:
Solid NFL Wide Out. He will occasionaly make the big play in a game but will not wow his team. Having great speed he can go deep and get away from a CB or he can just fake them out. With great hands he catches a lot of things that come his way. As a big 6'3 Wide Receiver he can go up and catch the ball and outmatches his player. His awareness on the field is so-so but when he gets a turn to blow by the defender he will take his chance. A disruption in the locker-room he is widely known as the arrogant type that will get on people's nerves. In his NFL Combine he ran a 4.4 40 yard dash and had a good time on the cone drill. He is able to accelerate to fast speeds if he has to get the few extra yards for his team. In College he was used as a WR/TE so he can really block for the run.

Okay I think I included everything that I needed and if I didnt and need to fix it PM me so I know what I messed up on. I hope I get this and i am really sorry about wanting to get in.I chose WR because realhawker said that would be my best bet as a position.

Dumb Daddy

Player -- Dumb Daddy FB/TE

Life is hard when you are the son of a basketball legend in the state where basketball is king. William "Dumb" Daddy, son of Hoosier Daddy was born with the body of the prototypical power forward. By the time that he was graduating high school, he looked like a younger version of Karl Malone (with hair).

Unfortunately he was not destined to follow his father's footsteps. Not clumsy but not very graceful, he was ALWAYS in foul trouble when he played basketball. These fouls weren't reach-in fouls either -- he routinely flattened members of the opposing team. When he was on the court, he was frequently able to make uncontested layups as the other teams learned to stay out of his way as much as possible. Despite this, he still wasn't able to stay on the court for much more than 10 minutes a game, which prevented him getting much of a look from the college basketball recruiters.

He did catch the eye of a savvy football recruiter who saw the potential for him to be a blocker extraordinaire. He was primarily a TE but when the starting FB was injured, he stepped in and never relinquished the job. He grew to be hated by opposing linemen and linebackers and feared by opposing DB's who rightly saw him as a concussion waiting to happen. Not a great runner or receiver (but not horrible), Dumb Daddy is a blocker extraordinaire. He is also very useful in special teams; though not very fast, he is a sure tackler, surprisingly quick for a man his size. Sometimes the returners would run out of bounds, giving up several yards to avoid be plastered by the huge man.

When he became a starter in the NFL last season, his father realized that he had been unfair to his son and they reconciled. Though it was a bitter pill to swallow, Hoosier realized that his son had a special talent for knocking guys over and would never be anything more than competant on the basketball court. With this distraction out of the way, look for Dumb Daddy to have an outstanding season blocking for the home team (Browns?).

Good bio but.......

I have some issues.....

1- If you are trying to be the RB4, this bio is fine. I can't have a 5'9" 192lb RB be my 2nd RB or my 3rd down back.
( I am looking for a stephen jackson/jamal lewis guy for my 2nd back, and a moe williams/brandon jacobs to be my 3rd down back.)

2- a beast usually implies unusual physical attributes, this player is smaller than normal rb's

3- SS would be a decent spot for him. I could make you the backup safety, but you wouldnt start, you would have to hope for a injury, or a 3-1-5 D(5 cornerbacks).

4- OLB spots are all taken.

5- I could also recommend fb2 or te2 for you.

An elusive player with quick feet. Can stop on a dime and give you change. Is not a speed burner, but makes up for it with his quickness. Was a walkon at University of Hawaii and worked his way into the starting lineup. Was a standout receiver in Coach June Jones run and shoot system. Led the team in receptions and receiving yards his senior year. Probably too small to play on the outside in the NFL. Will make his living in the slot, creating mismatches against LB’s and nickelbacks. For a small guy, packs a punch on crackback blocks and is not afraid to go get the ball. Loves to go over the middle. Favorite route is the slant. During his high school days, practiced catching passes in 6 feet shorebreak waves to simulate getting hit by LB’s. Had a tough upbringing. Father was very strict and demanding. A quiet guy in the lockerroom, not labeled as a team leader. Not one for confrontation, but will not be pushed around either. Good head on his shoulders and prides himself in attention to detail and precision. Needs to work on shielding defenders from ball and getting off the line against more physical defenders.

You should be able to make some really wild orange and brown uniforms for the Browns. I like to make the uniforms very distinctive so that you can't confuse them for the other team. My neon yellow over green Packers uniform could be spotted clearly even with eyes closed!

Given what you did for the Cardinals, you should be able to make several killer Browns uniforms. If you ever get the game.......

Attributes: A gifted corner with great speed and size. During his college campaign he played along side last year's defensive player of the year, Ed Reed. Although he didn't receive much of the spotlight in Miami he did have a solid career ranking in second in interceptions during his Junior and Senior years. As a freshmen he saw time as a reserve free safety. Covering the best of receivers isn't much of a problem for him. He has exceptional speed and his size gives him an advantage when he has to go up to grab the ball. He has He has a 39" vertical jump, and runs a solid 4.39 40. He isn't much of a hard hitter. More like a cover guy. But he can finish tackles. Now going into his fourth year he's starting to become more and more polished as a cornerback. He is constantly trying to get better and hopes to one day be a shutdown corner. He has seen most of his time as a nickel and dime back during his 3 year career but is very competitive and always gives the starters a run for their money. Isn't a ballhawk but he does get his share of interceptions.
In the lockerroom he is always talking and trying to motivate his teammates. As a great CB in Miami, he would always congradulate his teammates and is a really friendly guy. He may not be like a TO but he does not stay quiet. He voices his opinion, good or bad (mostly good) and he is a guy on the field that QBs respect and notice as he is hard to be fooled on play-action passes and has great recognition on the field.

I didn't know the situation for WR or CB. So I decided to pick CB. Hopefully you can fit me in somewhere in the list of CB's.

does what change? I use QB 1 most of the time, but he can get hurt, surpassed by better QB, etc....you would see a alot more time as rb2 and even rb3.

you would get time in preseason, and if the playoffs are locked for the year you can get some time.

name: Jason

6'2 200 pound physical player from Don Bosco Prep High School. His first two years he played as an excellent tight end with great athleticism with the hands of a WR. His head coach noticed the aggressiveness he showed out on the field and with a solid back up TE on the depth chart he switched Jason's position to a defensive end in his junior yr. The move made him look ingenious. In his first two games he recorded 7 sacks, and ended the season with 22.5 - garnering all league honors and helping his team tremndously in the playoffs. With his dominating presence teams were scared to run to his side of the field as he was able to consistently contain toss plays, while also blowing up runs up the gut in the backfield. His success continued in college at UMiami. He started varsity by the middle of his sophomore yr. Because of his athleticism and hands, the coach dropped him back into zone coverage every so often just to confuse the opposing qb. This resulted in several interceptions throughout the year. His acceleration and speed is pretty good for a d-end, partly because he was trained to be a TE up until his junior yr in high school. By the end of his senior year at Miami he gained 30 more pounds of lean muscle...with this unique blend of strength, speed, size, and overall athleticism, Jason will continue to thrive at the professional level. He should be able to dominate opposing offensive tackles and QBs after a couple of years.

maddenplayer... you wont see any screens until I have my hosting web site up. I cancelled my last site, so I am still looking for a new one. I dont even have our team or guys created yet. Once you create a team, it is kind of static so I dont want to do it until all the positions are full

dumb daddy- I would deff pick MP. as captain, but since he's a rookie again, I wasnt sure about how it would feel. Perhaps there a rookie captain for the 1st time in history?

OK I tried create a player....this is gonna be fun cause you see the players head this year. So hair style/color and your face means more than last year.

PM ME this info please

This is only if you have already submitted a bio and have a position, if you dont pick, I will pick for you.

HAIR COLOR
*********
GREY BLACK BLONDE BROWN RED Light BROWN

HAIR STYLE
*********

Comb Over (hot, this years new fad, 2005's mullet and 2004's fro)
Long (you look like aragorn in LOTR)
Dreads (probably the worst modeled look, really poor implementation)
Mullet (much better done than last year, really has an A.C. slater look)
Bald
Cornrows (looks tighter than last years)
Afro (looks dirty and sloppy)
Flat Top
Buzz (looks good)
Fade
Balding (why not just get a comb over)
Close Crop (kind of like a faux-hawk, like ryan seacrest)

SKIN type/color (there are 3 diff shades of each base color)
***********
Light - light/medium/dark
medium - light/medium/dark
dark - light/medium/dark

Facial hair
***********
yes or no (not a sep choice, but some face types have goatee, etc...)

There are literally 70 face types per skin type, so ill make sure everyones diff.

If you know the # from your own game, specify it.

If you don't mind adding another player, I'd like to take the QB3 spot. I don't know about the "huge arm" description -- I was thinking of a career clipboard-holder kind of guy. A Craig Krenzel type. Matt Cassell. He's very good at the hand signals to be given to the starting quarterback and since he's been drafted, he hasn't taken off the headset during a game. A student of the game like Peyton Manning, but without any of Peyton's talent. Someday, when his "playing" career ends, he'll return to New Brunswick and be a graduate assistant for the football team, and maybe enter coaching. In the event of a catastrophic series of injuries, he can spend his Sundays handing the ball off to DJWill and Miracle and destroying the future earning potential of the team's receivers.

Name: Gary Guanine
Age: 26
College: Rutgers
Position: QB
Number: 13 (if possible, but he's the QB3, so he defers to other players)
Handedness: Right
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style: Close Crop
Skin: White / Pale
Facial Hair: None
Face: Obviously your pick, but a sort of narrower face would be good.
Height/Weight: 6'1", 180 lbs.
Body: 0 everything would probably be most appropriate.
Equipment stuff: QB arm Right; Taped Right Ankle (old injury); white sleeves in cold (since he doesn't exercise during games, he has to keep warm); everything else normal (your discretion).

Attributes:
I guess AWR would be nice, since he knows the playbook really well, but he's young, and not high enough to be good. He's not particularly athletic. Better THA than THP. Decent INJ and TGH.

The PAC Palace is again open for all your training needs fella's so pop on down for that 'special' rub down.

Same player as last year Super quick/ can't catch a bloody thing and despite lacking any style at all thinks he's a hip happening dude.
(Also owns operates and enjoys his very only 'palace' catering to the teams needs free of charge.......yep Jpar and daddy are still regular guests.)

Similar gear as last year and now you can real play havoc with the looks to make the goofiest looking player possible :)

hey guys, I am back from FLA, but I am still on vacation, here are some updates..

- I finalized the team selection, we are going to be the browns. I played a game as each team in the Poll, and I liked the browns best, plus they won the poll. Dolphins were a close sceond but the coloring sucks and light blue is a hard color to see on the field.

- I created our first player, me. I have posted some screens below. I am most likely going to be the oldest most exp player on our team so my OVR, etc... refelcts that. Hopefully I dont retire in 3 years....

- I read all your posts so dont worry, I will create everyone who asks if I can fit them. The more information you give me, the more personalized your player will be. If not I will improvise or use last years stuff.

ps. I have a comb-over....yes!

Hey Hawk! Welcome back. How was the flightback with the whole hurricane and everything?

Flight was a bit choppy(turbulence) and the flight was delayed 2 hours before takeoff. Otherwise it was good. (flew in 1st class because I used my FF miles :-)

I was in orlando and tampa and the hurricane luckily(for me) flew right past florida and into the gulf, but I feel bad for people living on the gulf coast from the TV reports I have seen.

Disney was EMPTY this time of year so I walked onto(no wait at all) to almost every ride, which is great since I have a 18mo old son.

thanks for asking......

p.s. I also love Tampa's stadium and I was thinking about being them this season too.

The Funboy
09-01-2005, 10:27 AM
Alright, I'll give you a quick bio.

The Funboy comes from a rugby and cricket background, so he has very poor awareness when it comes to football. However, having played cricket for years, he has hands of glue and his rugby background gives him great tackling ability. Average speed due to numerous injuries suffered throughout his sporting career, including a broken hip twice in the same year (yes, that is true!! Absolute agony), but has great toughness, as he will play through the pain to help his team. Often wonders how the doctors gave him a pass for his medical at the Combine with all the red flags that should have come up....12 concussions, two broken feet, screw in hip, 5 stress fractures in spine, the list goes on and on...(all true...). MUst have been the doctor from 'Any Given Sunday' doing the checkups that day....

There you go Hawker, create me as you feel appropriate....it must be kind of fun being 'God' for the franchise....

It is fun, the best part is making the videos of the guys plays. Some REAL funny stuff can happen, as what we showed last year.

I couldnt afford to keep the old site running, but I am trying to find a cheap alterative for this year.

HiJacker
09-02-2005, 09:37 PM
Here is my bio, too big to pm to hawker.

A small kid growing up in Philly is tough enough, being white makes it almost impossible. HiJacker had to do something to stay off the streets, so he played sports. Basketball, Baseball, Lacross, Football, Soccer; he was always busy. HiJacker grew towards Basketball, loving being in the spotlight (as a point guard) and the ability to lead your team to victory. His rolemodel has always been his Uncle. His Uncle was a semi-pro basketball legend, although never being accepted to teh NBA because of his style drifted towards streetball.

As a Junior in high school he singled down to Basketball and Football. Starting point guard for Basketball, and second string strong safty for Football. HiJacker grew popular in high school for his basketball talent, even impressed a few college scouts as a Junior. He finished up his senior year and sure wasn't going to get a scholarship on his grades. He went to the University of Texas to play a little 2 on 2 with some Freshmen there to show the coaches what he could do, but repeatedly the college Freshman on his team zipped the ball at him, but he couldn't catch it. HiJacker simply could not catch the ball when it was moving at college level speed. Suddenly his basketball dreams crashed down around him.

Back to Football he went, and moved to a starter Saftey because he was not so physically exhausted from basketball. From the event at UT HiJacker was doubting himself but his natural athletic ability allowed him to stay a starter. Mid-way thru his senior year the Starting QB got hurt during practice, and the only backup was absent that day. The coach did a quick scan of the players and picked HiJacker at random to play with the Offence against a scout defence. HiJacker knew teh offensive plays decently well, since his best friend plays running back and they review plays together.

HiJacker walked up under the center and quickly scanned the defence. He knew from the way the free safted creaped up that he was going to cover the flats, anticipating the quick out to that side by the tight end. HiJacker called 'hut' and rolled out away from the quick out side. He could see the coach drop his clipboard with a "What the ^&*(#??" expression on his face. He shouted to the reciever, running a hitch, to block the corner. The reciever quickly took the legs out from underneither the cornerback. HiJacker quickly sprinted 15 yards before being confronted by the only person in his way, the Strong Saftey. HiJacker glanced back and saw the teams running back running about 4 yards behind him. HiJacker waited until the SS was about 5 yards away and pitched the ball the the Running back. The SS quickly tacked him. Only the running back didn't have the ball. HiJacker ran the fasted 40 of his life for a 60 yard touchdown after the fake pitch to the runing back.

HiJacker secured the starting spot as QB that practice when he showed that, with refinery, he could have a decent throwing arm and was natually an accurate thrower. HiJacker finished the season with amazing stats, throwing for 350 yards and rushing for 150 in the season finaly.

He was drafted to UT like he wanted to be all along, but in a different sport. He played QB all thru college with great results, although slightly hampered his Softmore year with a broken bone he got in a carcrash (hit by a drunk driver). This hampered his agility more than anything, his speed remained the same. He was runner up for Heisman his Senior year and that really helped him be a competitor in the draft, and eventually make his was into the NFL.

More like a book than I bio I guess, lol.

first name:NFS
last name:Rufi0
Position: Jumpball WR
college:Penn State
Height: 6'6
Weight:228

Bio:
This player played DE in highschool. After his coach told him he wasnt strong enough to play DE and that he was too athletic he converted to WR. At 6'6 / 228 he is a new-type of WR. Did not run a great 40(4.59)but he is still an athletic player. He beats the bump almost instantly and has the hops of a kangaroo. These big tall wide recievers are now dominating the NFL with the ability to go up and get the ball and that is exactly what your getting with this player. Books are not his thing though, he did not do very well in school and effects his vision on the field but he does run good routes. With time this Wide Reciever will hold the NFL in the palm of his hands.
