Do you need to do training camps in superstar mode...does it help you progress? Willl simming them bring the same result?

Training camp raises awr, inj, sta, and other stats. Simming does give you some stats, but not near as much.

The goal is 10 points per rep on 10 reps. Once you have that quit. If you get that your stats go up. Your stats also go up with luck. Sometimes you don't go up at all that's just how it is. Anyway, the max stat raise that I've seen was 3 points. These stat raises are permanent, but usually they fluctuate a lot.

What I think its down to is the number of reps. The yardage you get is divided by the number of reps and then you are given your average points per rep mark, which then changes your overall. I think the trick is to get the most yardage in the smallest amount of reps, so only do 10 really good reps (touchdowns) and you will see your stats for that weeks game go up.

if ur a HB, do u have to do 10 running plays, and get at least 10yds. Or can u throw 10 TDs with ur quaterback?

It doesnt matter what you do, just get 10 points per 10 reps

what if you're a corner? would you only get your points on defensive plays?

Ok I gave SS mode another shot and training camp still has me confused. I ran 10 plays got like 200+ points in training session 2 and 3. Then the next training day I ran the same plays scored close to the same points but it didn't count any of my points. Anyone know... Do I run the 10 reps the hit start and quit or do I run 10 plays hit back to pick a new play then hit start and quit... or do I need to mix up the plays I'm running to continue recieving upgrade points? Thanks for any help... sorry if that sounds confusing.

I created a 6'8 TE, and he got drafted by bears...
what i do is go to practice and basically push circle and have the comp select all my plays.
i run like 50 reps, make about 400-500 points and i get no improvements to my player.
what am i doing wrong?

Here.... It's this simple.
On offense, choose an offensive play with flat outs or slants and very few streaks... and then choose a Punt Return Defense. This gives you adequate time to get the pass off and after a few seconds of the D dropping back, the begin to turn around and head back to the line... thus leaving your back or wideout completely open. Do this for 10 plays... you should have @ least an Average of 29 points for this, but 10 is all that is really needed per play. Keep doing this and you will see your Overall rise for the entire training camp 2-3 points, your Awareness rise 3-5 points, your stamina rise 2-5 points. That's about it... so if on your first practice you see those results already, that's about as good as it gets, but sometimes... it will take your stats earned and permanently add them before training camp is over... thus letting you add 2-5 points again, but mostly on stamina only. The trick is to do them all (practices) if you do well on the first two and see the increases, and then simulate the rest, there is a good chance the cpu will have done much worse and you will lose those points and risk losing even more than you started with. Now, on defense, same thing... just pick a reverse play or a long delay handoff for the offense and a goal-line Multi-Blitz package for the D. This should do the trick. Good luck to everyone.

all you need to do is get an average of 10 points per rep, and at least 10 reps. just quit after 10 reps. your star should get better if you do this, i have no idea why yours is getting worse. and no, you do not have to use your player

here is what counts fellas...POINTS PER REPITITION.
think about this logically...if you get 50 points, but do it in 25 reps what does that equal out to? about 2 yards per rep. this means that you aren't very productive so you will not go up at all. ALSO, you did 25+ reps every practice for a week and your stamina goes down because you are TIRING OUT your player.

Ok guys it's simple. It goes by average of points a play. You want to run 10 plays all for the endzone. If you're let the comp pick your plays and you don't think you can get 20 or more points audible or change your recevers route. After 10 successful plays and a point average 20 or above quit. You will see that after a couple weeks of this your ability's will start improving.

or you can be cheap and if you have an offensive player, send anyone on a go route and have the defense do a FG block. TD everytime and all points count for any offensive player you may have (same for defense).
defensive players, just do an all blitz and have the offense do a split backs quick pitch to the outside to crush the tailback.

On madden 09 you get lots of points for doing training camp but, in every other game it doesn't matter.
