just in general for the deep pass lets just say a streak where is the best place to put your db to pickoff the ball......

I think the best thing for the deep ball is to get in front of the WR.. like in between the QB and WR.. but closer to the WR. That's the best position to pick off the deep ball because just like swat ball mini-camp.. when you time your triangle correctly, the CB jumps very high and in slow motion to pick it off. If you want to swat the ball... then stay ahead of the WR but close to him.. so when you swat the ball you hit it out of his hands. So you want the WR to be in front of you(in between you and the QB), because if you swat in front of him, the CB does some idiot swat and the WR can grab it over his head and keep going whereas if you are ahead of him.. if you miss the swat.. he'll drop the ball because you will touch him as you bump into each other then it will automatically tackle him when he catches it.

I guess it depends on what's the best chance you have to do something... it's all instinct.

I think the best position to be is two yards in front of the yellow circle because if you play someone who manualy catches that's where there going to be.
