Can someone please help me out. I play with the Skins and my friend uses the Saints. The problem I have is that I can't get pressure on his QB. The other thing is that I can not cover Duece out of the backfield. Any suggestions???
Thanks

spread out you DL for pressure. and covering deuce or any Rb is hard, use the LB that is covering him and catch on to his tendencies, you can usually guess the RBs pattern and break up the pass, or catch him for a short gain.
and ur other thread, the blitzes dont work. none of the stradegies do.

Spreading your slow DL is a mistake ... they have no speed to get around the corner ... instead lean on their big bodies and send heat with your fast smart LBS .... you want to attack the weak side of the Saints line ... try 4-3 Sam Blitz ...... you will not get much heat from your defensive line as they are old (Smith) and slow .... so get them to tie up the Saints weak offensive line and bring your LBs off and on ....
As for Duce ... man this guy is fast out in the flat .... the good news is you do have enough talant at LB to cover him well enough ..... the flat pass needs time .... blitz him from the side he likes to run Duce out to ... this makes him hurry it ... could be abad pass, could be knocked up and he may try to run away from you ...... try 4-3 CB blitz away from the side Duce runs to the flat .... bring the MLB around the corner on the blitz TO the side Duce runs the flat pass on ...... BAM! ... you cause problems.

how about the 335 nickel package cb blitz. Puts pressure on Brooks and if the QB feels heat quick he may panick and throw a pick right to one of your blitzing cb's.
Or same play and control your middle linebacker and spy Duece out of the backfield. Even sub your backup safety or Free safety for mid LB, make sure he's got good tackling and hands
