Just a heads-up so you guys don't think I have abandoned you...
Some of you down on the NCAA boards know that I have been greatly enjoying that game, but it's not why I have yet to appear here. The wife finally got a job in Texas and we are in the process of getting her moved here from Oregon. We put in an offer on a house on Friday and expect to be tied up with moving for another week or two.
So I haven't even bought Madden yet...
But I expect to, maybe sometime next week. And if I can sneak in some play I will double check the worst exploits that I found in last year's game (the ones I never revealed here) and we'll see what they fixed.
Til then, Happy Chising... :)

Welcome to Texas.
I live in the 'burbs of big D. It's great!
You'll learn like I did that even if you don't want to, you end up following the Cowboys by default. Still love my Eagles the most though.

It's actually welcome back to Texas... :)
I moved here originally from Oregon in 1988, went to college, met the wife (who is from here). A few years back we moved to Oregon, and now we're back here...
She is a lifelong Cowboys fan. I am a fan of players far more than teams, Oregon players in particular. So I root for the Lions (Joey), Browns (Reuben), Seahawks (when Maurice is on the field), and a handful of other teams listed below:
Allan Amundson (21) San Francisco 49ers CB
Rashad Bauman (21) Cincinnati Bengals DB
Josh Bidwell (9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers P
Quinn Dorsey (90) Chicago Bears LB
A.J. Feeley (7) Miami Dolphins QB
Keenan Howry (82) Minnesota Vikings WR
Patrick Johnson (83) Baltimore Ravens WR
Robin Knebel (67) Baltimore Ravens T
Keith Lewis (28) San Francisco 49ers DB
Wesly Mallard (53) New England Patriots LB
Marcus Maxwell San Francisco 49ers WR
Jason Nikolao (61) Houston Texans DT
Enyi Nwamuo (49) Indianapolis Colts TE
Igor Olshansky (99) San Diego Chargers DT
Samie Parker (18) Kansas City Chiefs WR
Justin Peelle (84) San Diego Chargers TE
Junior Siavii (94) Kansas City Chiefs DT
Peter Sirmon (59) Tennessee Titans LB
Adam Snyder San Francisco 49ers T
Chris Solomona (65) Miami Dolphins DE
Nick Steitz (62) New Orleans Saints G
Robby Valenzuela Detroit Lions DT
Jed Weaver (85) New England Patriots TE
Jason Willis (14) Seattle Seahawks WR
George Wrighster (87) Jacksonville Jaguars TE
It's funny, the only former Duck I really didn't root for much last year was Onterrio. Still haven't forgiven him for not going to class his junior year and jumping to the pros. Now it's even easier to not root for him...
There are a bunch of non-Ducks I root for as well. Mostly guys I learned to like from playing Madden and having them on my Chise all the time. Guys like Urlacher, Shockey, Roy Williams (both), Ed Reed etc...
I'm just glad to be back in a state where the politics make sense. Even though most big deals in Texas are done behind closed doors, at least stuff gets done. The Oregon legislature spends weeks debating what time of jelly should be served with the morning toast.
And I am looking forward to my first season as an assistant high school coach here. No better place than Texas for high school football...

You haven't been paying attention....the Texas legislature still hasn't figured out how tofinance the schools this year. I teach and coach in LISD and my girls b-ball team has no practice gear and my wife (who also teaches at the same school) has no textbooks...BTW- we started school last week.
Where you coaching at? I'm at Flower Mound High School.

Exatly what I as thinking while reading DFs post. Our legislature has gone south with the exception of the Judge's pay raise which ties into their retirement funds. :) Anyhow, welcome back DF, good to have ya here.

He was only raised here, he was born in conecticut. Blame their doctor's for not "accidentally" dropping him on the floor before giving him to his mom. Also your stereotype can kiss my ***. Not everyone is a right wing nut job, just the farmers and the rednecks and the people who do as they are told and vote for bushie like he says to.

im sorry if i sounded ignorant, but usually your type of folk only understand one type of speak.
If i wanted i could've nicely written out my opinions in well thought out clear paragraphs so that each idea got its well deserved space, and maintained a respectful and humble tone. But i honestly dont think republicans deserve that seeing as how they themselves act the same way if not worse.
If you choose to call me ignorant, thats fine you're stating your opinion just as i did.

It's ok he sticks his foot in his mouth all the time. I thought for awhile he was gone but unfortunately that isn't the case. He apparently doesn't have anything intelligent to say so he resorts to cursing and using the Lords name in vain. Way to go you really seem like a great person!

Actually, as Texan for the past 11 years (having spent 13 in Iowa and 8 in Massachusetts), I can tell you that the worst part about being a Texan is being lumped into the Shotgun toting, gay-bashing, Bush loving, Bible thumping (unless it applies to them), redneck, Skoal chewing, NASCAR loving, Wal-Mart shopping group with the rest of them.
That being said, I am VERY proud to be a exan, love it here (much better than the armpit I lived in called southern New England) and I don't think you need to just jump to conclusions about people and you definitely don't need to insult me.
BTW- I am a registered Independant that leans more to the Liberal than the Conservative side.

Glad we can all get along.
At least we can all agree that Superstar Mode sucks, right? :)
There's hope.

yes i was excited with it at first but its so tedious and fruitless. I also think they should've allowed you to pick your genes. I mean they know everyone's gonna keep repickign parents until they find a hall of fame QB and a rocket scientist mom or something why not just cut time for the players and let them create their superstar.
I for one wanted to make a white runningback.
