as i mentioned in a reply to someone earlier, i love this formation.

its surprisingly good against the run as well as the pass. i like to spread the backers to get good coverage over the middle. you can bring good heat from this formation too.

the only thing i dont like about it is that when you go to press the receivers, the 3rd corner flips sides and ends up away from the slot receiver.

I haven't been as successful with stopping the run, but maybe because of bump and run. Will experiment more soon. Love the cb blitz and the overload on long yardage plays

try the underman or cover 2 and dont press, make sure your 3rd corner is lined up on the slot reciever and spread your backers.

are those 2 plays better for pass or run?, down and distance? short yardage or long?. I'll try it tonight and let you guys know how I do. Did you see my post on the Dime Flat cover 2 pressure. I have had incredible success running it. I think I might have a 30-40 percent turnover rate. This 335 has been giving me a good amount of sacks by either the ends or the cb's

That's a very good point. Too many guys bump n run...and in most cases don't bring the heat. The bump n run is used for two things. One, to break up the timing of a offense. 2nd, if you bring the heat. This allow your d-line and blitz to get in. If you bump n run a soild player it's a td 9-10. Plus, don't let them have a mobile qb. A wr that is being pressed turns into a blocker once the qb passes the line. So if your db is lock up with a wr...with the new playemaker function you will be killed. With or without it your done. Not to mention if they decide to run the ball. You just took out your outside pursuit. Best possible cover is the best thing on this game. This allow the players to line-up in a better way to cover there assignment. This will give players the look of a press...but they're not.

bigb: do you know why certain plays flip when you press in this formation?

i could see if they were zones but the ones i'm talking about are man plays.

I have wondered this also... don't use the 3-3-5 D that much, so I always forget to ask about it.. but it is weird how when you go to press the play flips...

Anybody?
