punt blocking is horrible

the players who block down the field just turn there backs and watch the player who is catching the ball while the defense runs by them uncontested for the tackle. horrible

If you watch closely you'll see the same thing happening in lots of non-special teams plays

thats the truth. E.A sports idea of a tough challenge is to cheat you its a shame and its been like that for years. the last hope is the next generation I'm almost though with games man

I havent played 06 yet but i was appalled when i first saw how bad pount blocking was in 05.

i would continually rank top 3 in run, pass and defence but would be 32nd in special teams.

Now I'm in my 5th year of the franchise i'm something like 12th in special teams, so i think it might be a case of developing your roster to suit your style of play.

Shouldn't be like that though, this is a game afterall....

In football everybody tries their best according to their talent every down,this is just one way the A.I cheats just to give a challenge to make it hard for the users but the integrity of the game is compromised in a horrible way that is insulting to the intelligence

i think i might've accidentally blocked a punt once... i dunno it seems like a pretty difficult thing in reality as well so of course it wouldn't be too easy in madden either. However as long as i enjoy the rest of the game i wont let the punt blocking bother me. I've given in to failure
