It's amazing! I actually had progression on my defense this year! None of them have gone down at all so far. Morale seems a little different this year. Both Kevin Barry (whom I wish I would have traded away before trade deadline) and Najeh Davenport both have morales dropping like a cannonball off a cliff. This usually didn't happen this fast last year, as their morale bars were full at the start of the season and I'm only on my first season.

Nope, all either positive or no progression on defense :D More so positive than no. I was both shocked and amazed. This year I seem to be getting good progression out of my defense and not so good out of offense (mainly on offensive line, for obvious reasons) I also have yet to have a WR progress outside of TC

yeah i had my DE's go up.. i play 3-4 D and i even had my dimeback go up 2 points after week 5 ( i don't come out in dime unless the comp comes out in 4 WR sets. whats even better is that some players STR, AGI, ACC, and JUMP goes up after the season!!!!)

As I've posted elsewhere, I've had one hell of a time with progression. I used the Jags to do a fantasy draft, drafted McNabb, Andre Johnson and Coles for WR, McGahee for RB, then filled my O-Line and defense with a lot of young players (24yrs and under).
The first year I went 8-8, missed the playoffs, had the 2nd worst defense in the league, and got pretty much NO progression, no suprise I thought, no worries. After noticing the nice off-season progression (usually 1 OVR for young players), I drafted up, and headed into the next year.
The second year I went 13-3, won the superbowl, McNabb got MVP, I had the best offense and a middle of the pack defense. Still very little progression, except for O-Line. Even through a Superbowl run, I got almost no progression in the playoffs. So I figured fine, I gotta shore up my D, I drafted a couple 80 OVR rookies for DB and LB, and headed into season 3.
Season 3 I went 13-3, lost in the superbowl game, McNabb won the MVP, I had #1 offense and #3 defense, still very little progression. I've just completed another good year in yr 4, but have yet to look over my progression closely.
The only area I've seen good progression is O-Line, I've got 11 80+ linemen right now, and have already traded 3 80+ away.
The main problem for me has been secondary, I started with Sean Taylor and the rookie B.Poole for safeties, DeAngelo Hall and Fabian washington for CB's. Now I admit I went perhaps way too young here to start, but Taylor is solid gold, and I figured Hall would be 90+ after season 1. The way things stand now is that Taylor is only 93 OVR, Hall is 83 OVR after 4 training camps (negative progression every year), Washington got benched for a rookie after being a 24 yr old 76 OVR, and Poole is only 84 OVR.
I'm still watching very closely, and hoping that I'll be able to get some consistent progression even if it is slow, 05 was waay to easy to produce talent, so not having a ton of 99's would be more realistic, but negative progression for starting players on superbowl teams is questionable.
My hope is that EA has made it a priority to have older players on the roster to improve the little guys' prgression, that would be sweet, finally a use for older guys that've lost a step or two, but you want to keep around because they've put in 12 yrs on your team.

Are you sure those attributes go up?

Anyway, I had Cincy's young LB corps (Thurman, Pollack, Johnson) progress so that all three were an 84 or above after the first season. The older players, however, seemed to stay the same unless they had a monster year, which in my opinion is quite realistic. It keeps things more even keel. I really like the new progression system they've implemented. I got sick of seeing a team win the Super Bowl last year and have every starter jump 4-6 OVR points over the course of a season.

I am into my second season on my Steeler chise.
Big Ben got a huge boost in progression. He is now 92 overall, after struggling in his sophomore season last year. Having a larger cone this year sure helps my offense. :)
I got no progression from H. Miller who by the way is a stud in this game. His AWR is a measly 68..OUCH!!
Got a good mix of young and old, hope this helps.
The Bus retired and I picked up a 2nd round RB Stud to take his and eventually Staley's place. Fred Gibson is now a starter opposite Ward.
Coclough is now a starter and will push D. Townsend as my best CB on the team. Picked up a ball hawk in the 5th and having him push McFadden and Taylor for PT.
Also drafted a solid C in the 4th that will be my foundation to my running game by next year. Hartings getting too expensive and you never know how long those knees are going to hold up.
