I was just curious. Is there any tactic/strategy/glitch in NCAA 06 that you actually consider unacceptable to use? You've already gone to great lengths defending certain plays/strategies that are generally considered "cheesy," like the overuse of scrambling, no huddle, and HB direct. The way I see it, your general philosopy on this game that if it could happen in real life, no matter how unlikely, then it's acceptable.

I was curious how you felt about stuff like analog blitz, WR Direct, and delayed bump. The latter could happen in real life, I suppose, but the refs would call a penalty every time. The other two are completely unrealistic and can only happen in the context of this video game.

Do you think it's acceptable for people to abuse obvious programming glitches? Does it piss you off when people do it to you? I'm not trying to be a smartass (OK, well maybe I am, a little), but I'm genuinely curious to know where, if anywhere, you draw the line.

Delayed bump is not a penalty. you can delay bumb inside of 5 yards in real life. It's only a penalty past the 5. And it doesn't get called that much anyway in real life.

delay bump in real football ok

mugging holding and molesting the receivers for 2 to 5 seconds on the game should be an arrestable offense

Sorry to be an idiot here, but I honestly want to avoid anything cheesey, even if I'm still only playing the CPU at this point:

Is "delayed bump" the same as the "double bump" defense in nickel and dime ("double wides," "double slot")?

To be candid, I had to use it a few times to try to contain Ohio States unbelievably fast receivers in my Dynasty (with mixed results). However, if this unknowingly exploits a game glitch I want to find a better way.

Can any of you experts comment?

Thanks guys.

Jake

EDIT: Sorry guys -- maybe I should try searching the forums first. I see this has been discussed ad nauseum. It looks like it's a button combo that produces an unfair glitch. I don't know anything about it -- and don't want to know. Thanks again.

I'll admit, I don't watch much NFL. But didn't the refs start cracking down on that last year? I've even heard people attribute Peyton Manning breaking Marino's TD record to the sudden upswing in defensive holding calls.
