Last week was the 1st I tried playing Madden 2004 online. I could not host, and I could not join the game.
This evening I tried again. As before, I found that I could not host the game. I almost gave up on joining a game when my friend noticed that when he went to connect the game from his end, that the IP address (that was resolved earlier) changed. I changed my IP address to match the new address and I was able to connect with him hosting.
I am behind a router so I believe that my hosting problems stem from that. What bothers me is that last year I was able to host this game online.
I noticed in the post history that another person had difficulties in hosting a game so something similar is happening with me.
I'd appreciate hearing how someone else has dealt with this issue.
BTW I have a cable modem connection with a Linksys router.
