Is there any defensive formation that will stop or contain the sideline slants or post routes. I played a guy last nite who played with the broncos, he sub the third rec. leslie at the Te position and all he did most of the game was put a guy in motion and throw the post out pattern to leslie. I tried playin zone and man coverage and manually controlling my safties for over the top help but he kept catchin the ball, and when he saw that i was controlling the safeties he put two recivers on the same side, sent one on a fly pattern and leslie on the sideline route. I was up a Td in the 4th with 17 sec to play at his 35 and he scored on two (beautiful) plays, one to the sideline to leslie, and one straight down the middle over d-coverage. I finally won in over time off an interception return for a td, but he kept killing me with that sideline route . is there any defence that could at least put a man toward the sideline? Hola back

I'm not sure if this will work or not but I think 4-3 Double TE will cover it. Usually with WR/TE Slants to the Sideline.. I noticed that pushing your CB back 5 yards help but it's risky for quick hits. I think if you manually control the LB to help the DB cover the TE and leave your safety for over help then you can redirect him to go elsewhere. Something like Quarter Man to Man Cover cause LB is QB Spy. Just have to change up and adapt, but boy.. isn't that Lelie fast. haha.
