If Mewelde Moore becomes the Viking starter, will his attributes on the next roster update rise above Bennett, and Williams? If so, I am going run with the Vikings minus-Moss. I am from New Orleans and Moore tore things up at Tulane.

Real life and madden attributes often fail to coincide.

i use the viks all the time....mewelde aint gon start, michael is......but if he was to start i dont think in the next update the EA will make moore a 82+ ovrall, unless he has a good 2-3 games...but Michael Bennett is the starter for the Viks

Huge Vikes fan. They're the only team I use.
In real life, I think Moore is a better back. Bennett doesn't have very good field vision, isn't half the receiver Moore is, and is pretty injury prone. Moore may nt have the jets that Bennett does, but he has a knack for finding the open hole and makes smart football decisions on the field. In Madden, even if they boost Moores ratings up a bit, he won't be as valueable as Bennett is because of the speed differential.

Wow, i can't believe i see this every year still..... yo wake up.... Moore is a ROOKIE on a team with an, experienced veteran already in place at the starting the position. R-O-O-K-I-E. Rookies don't really go far in the NFL their first year. The pro game is faster and the players are bigger and stronger. A lot of times the great college player just can't make the adjustment to the big dawgs, their best level is the college level.
A great college back does not equal a great Pro back, just ask back-to-back Heisman winner Archie Griffin. Griffin's BEST year was 1979 when he rushed for a career high 688 yds. He also went 4 straight years in the middle of his career - including his best rushing year, without a rushing TD. Don't try to blame it on the fact he was on the Bengals - only 3 of the 8 years he was with them did they have a losing record.
Keep in mind this is the only person to win back to back Heisman's so it wasn't like he was a one year fluke in college, Griffin was was crazy ill at Ohio St. I remember watching him play and how everyone thought we would be saying "O.J. and Walter who?" But it never happened.
Don't hang your hats on rookies.... give them a year or so cuz only the few can make the adjustment the first year. This is the NFL - not college.

Bennett, he's faster. I use Williams as my #2 and he seems to get the holes, but always gets caught so its a moot situation.

thats simply not true, in fact runningback is one of the few positions were rookies usually can excel right off the bat.... hell here is a list the past few seasons:
keving jones and mcgahee in 04, domminack davis and onterio smith in 03, clinton portis in 02, tomlinson and mccasister in 01, curtis martin way back.
looking back at history the only reasonr ookie runningbacks failed to do well in their first seasonw ould be because they are behind established starters and didnt get field time

Moore put on a freakin clinic the few games he started last year. I believe he even had a double century (100 on ground, 100 thru the air) game. Definitely not a rook.
But still, in Madden, the speed/acc of bennett is too good not to use.

Mcgahee did not play in his rookie year. Don't forget that Eric Dickerson, Earl Campbell, and Edgerrrin James won the rushing crowns in their rookie years.

Those are the exceptions. but I'll give you that point. Percentage-wise, they need a year but it's probably easier for RB's than any other position (except maybe DL) to make the adjustment from college to pro although I'm sure these RB's blew quite a few blocking assignments (a statistic not kept - Blown Blocks) and got their QB's drilled... a mistake they won't make as many of this year because of the experience.
I defer.... lol

I never said that I wouldn't use Bennett, but if Moore became the starter would his attributes rise enough to use him Moore? Sure he doesn't have Bennett's speed but his awareness, and carry attributes should boost up a little, huh?

Bennett is one of the most overrated backs in madden. He has great speed but that is it. His has are better that some wr on the deep ball. In real life he is not that good. I think O.Smith and Mooreis a better back than Bennett.
