I was just wondering what some of you guys think is the best playbook for the Niners? I use the balanced pass most of the time but I looking to spice it up a bit. Any suggestions?

i think that m. sherman has the best playbook of the ones that i have used. For defense with the niners i would use cover 2.

i use the San Fran playbook and i think its great. its all about the west coast offense though as most passes that are deep are all streaks. if you can stand playing the short passing game, then this book is for you.

Try the West Coast pb. Just like Olinono said, there are a lot of short passes, but your deeper routes are not only streaks but slants and posts as well. I just wish they had more run plays in some of the other formations. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

I run with SF and use GB's PB. Its off the hook. I used it in 2003 and at first I was disappointed that they took half of the fomations out (or it seems like it)! Now my ONLY complaint is the lack of good HB runs out of the I-form Normal formation (only two, the HB Blast and HB Counter, but the Blast turns into the HB Slam when playmakered, so u essentially only have 3). Here are your formations:

I-form N
I-form B (great PAs in here)
SB N
SB B (all its missing is the HB dive...)
SB 4WR
Strong-I N (Off-tackle is a monster)
Strong-I B (HB Blast and HB dive are good plays. PA great too)
Shotgun N (can get good matchups with TE)
Shotgun 4WR (LOTS of 1-on-1 T.O. action in this formation due to all of the WRs + RB in backfield)
Shotgun 2RB-3WR (I got some garaunteed gainers in his puppy!)
Power T (hella good runs in here, PLUS the always dangerous HB Pass)
