this dude practiced catching the ball to much all he does is click on and click off after drilling a pass right to the cb and cuts in front of him and then presses x so that the computer will jump like a monkey and catch it...and he ran no huddle no game and got no offside penalty what garbage.

Yea what's the details on the game so your learning experience can spread to us faithful VG members. Higgins31 told me that he didn't use Falcons this time against you. What team did he use? Did he run streaks or posts to get his man in position... I heard they do that all day.. jump like monkeys. Even do the turn around.. stay in-bounds catch too. I think they just perfected it all too well to catch the ball... One big question... How much time did he have to be able to get a chance at the ball???

Ok let me tell you what was going on. You obviously don't click on your d-back. No disrespect Im just letting you know whats going on. If you run up against a guy that manual catches. mainly most of the top crews in the country they will throw it deep on you all day. There is an animation glitch, that not really a glitch because you can get the same jump on defense, but you have to click on your defender as soon as the QB releases the ball. It will take you a few good weeks to really get this down. I can do it sometimes but not as automatic as Realist. This catch is perfected by 40gs, BigGenegtp and Twangtp. It is a headache but you have to show them you will pick it off if they try it. I get plenty of user picks against them, but the second you get lazy and let the cpu defend you get burnt. When I get it down to a tee I will do a breakdown on how to do it. but honestly it is a part of stick control. You have to position your man, click on click off and press the jump and the receiver lifts off. Its crazy but if you develope the skill its hard to stop. Go in practice mode and run I form FB Under. Throw deep to the SE and then the TE. Develope the timing so it becomes second nature for you. I might try to work on it with you later if Im on. PM me with a time you may be avaible. I have to play these guys at least 4 times in league play. so I need some lab time also.

ron j u are dead wrong !!!!!! i click on all the time on my recievers backers and whoever is closer to the ball....i kno how the jump thing works but ive stopped it before but the way he does it is where its so quick that i cant click on quick enough to deflect it. he throws 20 yarders and its a bullet he does it real quick.....and my ppl usually try to swat the ball but they swat the air cuz he cuts in front of it to fast.. trust me ive stopped that b4 but not the way he done it......but yes i click on every time and i did get 2 user picks but i gave up at half....it was 14-17 at half and i got the ball and bettis fumbled on his 20 so i just gave up cuz i cant stop his jump thingy.........

by the way ron j i do it the real way i control my man from when my qb throws the ball to when i press triangle....what he does and whoever else does it is lack of skills...and theres no arguement about it......he lets his computer do the work and hes #1 thats crazy stick control nothing thats just a dumb glitch that is just silly that theres no way to stop it...but whatever im not flaming or putting anyone down but i thought the guy ranked

Why do you press jump after you click off? That doesn't do anything to the WR because you already clicked off of them. Or did you just reorder the words wrong and meatn jump then click off?

I understnad your upset, but you can not discredit anyone who puts the time in to develope a skill. If you can do it on offense and defense then its not a glitch. A glitch is a one sided thing therefore giving someone an advantage. You said it yourself your man is swatting at the ball. If your are manualling defending then how is this happening, unless you are swatting at the ball.
Your argument leads to a principal that says if you can't stop it then its cheese.
I know people who can kick 60 yarders. I can't say its a glitch it takes practice. If you defended it and was 14-17 at half then why give up. Any good player is going to have a headache for an offense. So be patient and dont get discouraged. Stick to your guns and make him make a mistake. I play against it all the time, and I felt like you felt at first, but it is a timing thing and once you get the timing then it will be easy to defend.

Realist EBC runs with Oakland's Playbook on Offense. All his audibles come out of trips and bunch single back formations. he only runs with the Falcons.

and just liked i talked about in a previous post, he's one of the best in the world at "manual positioning". where you switch to the wr and position him in the best spot to catch the pass then switch off and let the CPU finish.

How do you do it on defense then if, like madden=dabest says that he throw quick bullets. How do you step in front of it to pick it or how would you stop that? Almost seems impossible to stop...

lol, i've even said it's very effective. it's not easy to stop on D by any means. my best advice would be "underman". you've almost got to control a FS/SS to and then you get burnt by Vick if you're playing the Realist.


all i can say is practice it. learn to switch to DBs quicker...keep a guy out there manually to play it. you can also use the switch on switch off tactic on D as well...i'm not sure many people know that. Sandman i know made a killing last year doing this on the defensive side of the ball. where he would run a DB in the right area and switch off.

I have some questions regarding this.

1) When you throw to the designated WR, do you wait till the last minute to take over, or do you switch to him right away?

2) Once you are switched to him, do you move him to the spot you want him to be at, and then click off him?

3) What kind of routes does this work on..LOBS, Post, or comebacks?

4) Can someone provide a movie clip of this type of action..I would like to see the animation glitch you guys mention.

Just for the record..here is my interpretation of how this is done..
Hike the ball, your QB passes the ball to the WR. Click to your WR. Manually move him (hit speed burst in a lob). When ball gets near, click off him and hit the jump button. (Why would you hit Jump if you no longer have control?)
