Where is Tim Couch? I got the online roster and i searched through the FA's and the teams and could not find him. I know he didnt retire because the Giants are thinking of signing him to be their backup as am I in my Franchise

Um...no. You can't even compart Couch to Dilfer. No one regrets drafting or playing Dilfer...nearly everyone does with Couch. The guy is terrible and he can't even keep a job as a backup. Unlike Dilfer who is actually a stellar backup and may end up being a decent starter.

You guys obviously don't know your stuff. Couch had to get three different surgeries on his shoulder. He didn't even know there was something wrong until he couldn't perform in training camp last summer in Green Bay. So he was cut and had surgery in February and is on the verge of fully recovering and making a comeback.

Couch is a serviceable backup and I think he could be a starter again. I don't know what kind of shape he's in now but if he goes anywhere other than Cleveland he should be more sucessful. He has a career QB Rating of 75.1, better than that of Kerry Collins' 73.3 and close to Drew Bledsoe and Michael Vick's. Couch had no offensive line, no running back, no #1 wide receiver, and no defense. Try winning games with the Browns of 99-02. Or the Browns ever... Maybe Romeo can get things straightened out.

There must be a curse on Browns 1st round draft picks because Couch, Warren, and Courtney aren't playing there anyone and never panned out for the Browns.

Couch will most likely be signed by the Dolphins. The Giants were also interested to solidify the backups. Besides the Giants 6 other teams were interested in him too so he'll most likely be in the NFL this year and we'll see him in an upcoming roster update. Especially if he signs anywhere.

You obviously think your special or know something I don't. Well your wrong. It doesn't matter whether he is injured or not, it doesn't matter what his QB rating is and it doesn't matter what team he played for. What matters is that no one is after him for a starting job and they never were. Obviously he doesn't have what they are looking for (intangibles?).

I'm could care less about the details surrounding Couch. I'm only saying that in no way should he be compared to Dilfer who is by far a much better QB. If you don't agree look at his stats from 95-2002. Also, the fact that people were after him (for starting jobs) the moment he hit the FA market is pretty impressive for a "backup" and obviously he has alot going for him that Couch doesn't or didn't regardless of the circumstances.

All I know is Couch is great in Madden (or was before the vision cone). And I agree with TooCool because he's got the numbers and we can all agree the Browns have seen better days. BTW, don't forget Winslow for Browns #1 picks that are #1 let downs.

Calm down I'm not jumping on your back and I don't think I'm special or anything like that. There was just a few guys that said Couch sucks and that he gave up when he really had to get shoulder surgery. I don't think you can even compare Dilfer to Couch either. Dilfer has a super bowl ring and a solid career. And Couch.... well he doesn't have much. But Couch is making a comeback and if he was signed by the Dolphins I am sure he would give the two QB's there a run for the #1 job. He is definitely a serviceable backup too. Coming into the NFL he was the "Prototype QB". He must have some intangibles to be the number 1 pick in the draft. He may be a career backup from now on but it's not like he's a practice squad guy. Seven teams are interested in signing Couch now that he's on the market so we'll see what happens.

Seriously I hope he does well and makes it back. I don't have anything against the guy I'm just a Dilfer fan.

tim couch played damn well knowing how crappy the browns franchise is. what kind of team drafts a QB first overall and gives him no star WR's or RB's to work with? their best draft pick throughout the years has been a freakin center- faine!!! i like how they get braylon now that they have no young QB who's developing, but they'll probably get one next year, leinart maybe. it's harsh to say couch sucks IMO because he was never given the chance to be successful and throughout his career he put up numbers nearly identical to jake plummer who played on a bad team as well. jake isn't great, but he's servicable, which is what couch will be if he gets healthy.

Round 3, Pick 67. Charlie Frye, QB, Akron. Why use a third round pick on a Quarterback you're not going to use? If Dilfer isn't the answer the Browns are going to start developing Charlie Frye. They drafted a WR this year and signed Joe Andruzzi to help out the line so I think they'll need a defensive player next year.

he did start 13 games when the browns went to the playoffs in '02. he just got injured in the last week and holcomb took over and got all the glory for his performance in that crazy game against pitt. everyone forgets that couch was the guy who led the team to the playoffs...he can def be a servicable backup if his "dead arm" recovers
