First, I don't claim to be good at madden 2004. In fact, I only bought it because friends are playing online and I wanted in on the action. But I am servicable and have been practicing a lot. I haven't owned a football game since madden 64 for N64. My team is the cowboys and I consistantly got my butt handed to me by what are apparently the only other 5 teams playing online, TB, SF, ATL, KC, IND. I play straight, just like the real coaches do. Everyone else goes for it on 4th and 10, puts M. Harrison at TE, Passes to TO every down. It seems like I give up more firsts on 4th down that third. Now, I know my play calling needs to improve (any suggestions would be great, I've since moved to playing with Seattle),But why shouldn't I start playing like everyone else. Should my next step be to start playing with KC, and put Priest in as the second TE and pass to PH and TG all game?
