Import draft class from NCAA 2005?

I tried to import a saved draft class from NCAA 2005 into Madden 2006 but the game did not recognize the saved file. I'm guessing they're incompatible but I just wanted to check to make sure.

I wonder what I'm doing wrong if my guess is wrong...

To import from NCAA 2005 to madden you would need madden 2005, just as to get rosters for 2006 you would need NCAA 2006
