I can't figure out why, when I play 5 minute quarters, the best my best D player may end the year with 70 tkls but the computer guys that win awards always have over a hundred. Does the computer compile stats based upon longer simulated quarters or do I just have a bunch of lousy defenders?
How can I get my D guys enough stats to compete for year end awards?

The simulated CPU games use 15 minute quarters that is why they have so many tackles.
The best way to get more tackles is to increase from 5 minutes to 7 or 8 minute quarters. With 7 minute quarters there are usually 120 plays in the game while 8 minute quarters usually has about 140 (average real life college game has between 130 to 150 total plays).

I would also add I've won the Butkus award by not having the highest number of tackles but by having the highest number of sacks by my mlb.
