Another crazy glitch

I was playing a dynasty game in the morning hours around 6:30 after having stayed up all night. I was East Carolina vs SMU @ ECU. Because I had not slept, I was drifting in and out of naps around half-time. SMU received the ball to start the 3rd qtr. I was really in and out at that point and couldn't hardly keep my eyes open. I remember thinking how I just wanted to get this game over so I could go to bed. SMU had driven down past mid-field and into my territory. This is where something went crazy. I awake to see a play in "progress". This play took up the remaining time in the 3rd qtr of a 5 minute qtr game. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. For those of you who have kicked an onsides and seen the ball just free falling in a huddle of both teams, this was sorta the same scene. The SMU QB had the ball, apparently on a run, perhaps an option? He was surrounded by the entire 21 remaining players. The play was live, yet he was not moving, frozen like a wr-direct-that-didn't-work-stuck-in-motion look. i watched this and wondered how long it had been going cause, I was almost asleep. The playclock and scoreboard were not on the screen. After a few more minutes the SMU players move off screen leaving the QB alone with my 11 defenders, who are parading around the QB in some weird tribal dance lol. They were straffing and moving in a circle around the QB, who still could not move. I started taking control of my players and tried to tackle him but couldn't. I was trying to strip the ball but that didn't work either. After a while of this, I noticed the SMU players coming out of the wall behind the goal post one at a time like WWE. The Smu guys come back and start blocking my guys but that only lasted a few minutes and all but a few players spread out. I eventually figured out I could big hit the QB and nudge him to the sideline. I say nudge cause he would barely move. Finally, he was out of bounds, the whistle blows and the gun fires, end of the 3rd qtr.

I have no idea why or how this happened as I did not see the play from the snap and replay would only show the point I was nudging the qb out of bounds. :D

I've seen the Rugby Scrum... play on an onside kickoff where neither team recovers the ball and the pile just moves... usually closer to my goal for some reason (Who says the cpu doesn't cheat :rolleyes: ), I love this play because even when I try to take control of my men and RUN them out of the pile it takes forever for someone to recover the ball.

I've also had my QB do a little weird dance on a play where he would be under center, until the playclock runs out.. I can't move him, I can't call an audible (because ea insist that you have the qb and center SET before calling an audible), and either you take the penalty or you burn a time out.

These are all Neat little things aren't they?? :mad: Really what they indicate is EA's "who-gives-a-rip-do-it-on-a-budget-what-is-qa-4-anyway" approach to programming...

I don't understand why you would buy the rights to a product and then leave obvious goofs like this in it... eventually its going to bite them in the butt.. imagine if they start putting out 989 versions of this game, are we still going to buy it because it has the vaunted EA logo on it?
