I think the things that need fixed the most would be during playing the game. The headlines and stuff are neat but I would rather them use the resources towards a better game. Here is a good list for EA to work on.

1. Better blocking all around. I think the pass blocking could definately be better. Not alot better to where you get an unreal amount of time to throw but the some players just miss obvious blocking assignments and it's crazy. Also better blocking on kickoffs and especially punts would be nice. The run blocking has definately gotten better.

2. More pass patterns especially option routes where the receivers will just sit in a soft spot of the zone. Other double move type routes too.

3. I love the idea of the corner being able to shade the defender. It doesn't seem to accomplish it correctly however. This could be better.

4. I think the defenses are unrealistically to aggressive on playaction fakes. I think the defense should have the AI determine if its pass or run and then play their assignments. The play action passes should freeze the blitz for a moment instead of getting sacked before you have a chance to throw it. Each player on defense should have it's own AI based on their awareness (im sure its done like this to an extent) and react to the run a certain percent of the time on playaction passes. The offense should be able to bail on the fake and go ahead and pass or run with the ball. Also better screen plays.

5. How about a few more goaline pass plays. I have always thought it has lacked this and 06 has brought a couple more. Maybe a few more wouldn't hurt. Also more special teams options. Maybe like an overload for punt blocks and maybe a puntblock fake bail.

6. An option to sub out a player by just clicking on the player in the formation graphic and clicking sub out with #2 receiver (or back) or like Sub out chad johnson with Kelley Washington. So you don't have to pause to sub out players. And this would go back after the play.

7. How about an offensive play with the shuttle pass. Cincinnati has used this numerous games and it is usually a great play against the blitz.

8. And for the silly posts about the newspaper adds. Well if they do keep it in the game maybe a few more would be nice. But how about this. This would take alot of memory to do so maybe not for the playstation 2 but what if they could so some of the key plays on ESPN or something while the commentators talked about it. Again this would take a bit of memory to store highlights. But like it could just store like 2 plays on instant replay on your memory card (if you have the option setup to show the highlights). But for the simulated games it can just use the stats from the game and create an engine to generate a replay of the play. Since the game is simulated anyways you don't know if it's the correct play or not. It just sees the stats from the game say that Hines Ward had a 82 yard reception from Big Ben and it'll generate the replay. The only downside is the fact of using your replays and probably having to store them on a memory card. Plus this would take a second between plays. But it can save it while they are showing the replay between plays on the game. I have had many other ideas and If I think of them I'll come back and put them up.
